The Rangers evened the series Saturday night with a 6-5 walk-off win in 10 innings. The Blue Jays won three of four games in Toronto earlier this month. • Rangers outfielder Ryan Rua started the last four games, only the third time since the beginning of the 2015 season that he has started four games in a row. He has started at four different positions -- left field, first base, right field and designated hitter -- more than any other Rangers player this season. • Blue Jays center fielder Kevin Pillar was scratched from Saturday night's game against the Rangers because of chest soreness. It was not immediately clear whether he would be available for the series finale, but if he were unable to go, Ezequiel Carrera would likely get the start again. • Jose Bautista appeared in Game No. 1,000 for the Blue Jays on Saturday night. He was the 11th player in franchise history to reach that mark. Bautista entered Saturday ranked first in the American League and third in the Major Leagues with 30 walks. --- FWIW, this is the last meeting of the season between the Jays and Rangers. The Jays have already taken the season series but let's hope they can make it 5-2 instead of 4-3. The Jays are 3-2 on this roadtrip that started in San Francisco. Next series will be at home vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. --- MY FIRST GDT. Regardless of the game's outcome I want to see no fewer than two bannings and at least three warnings. JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Cheers to all of you and our Jays for a great game and hopefully a win! http://i.imgur.com/PTG85TT.gif
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I'm surprised Saunders is starting? Day game after a night game + its a lefty on the mound.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Since Tulo has moved to the 6th spot he seems to have been doing so much better. I know it's only like what 7 or 8 games but maybe, hopefully, it'll continue? lol Russell Martin has a 10 wRC+ 10! He has 16 hits for the entire season, 15 of them singles.

I know it's only like what 7 or 8 games but maybe, hopefully, it'll continue? Not sure if it's an actual change but he seems to be swinging earlier in counts and more frequently. Small sample, but I've noticed I haven't been annoyed at watching him let goodies go by. I did miss yesterday's game until the 9th, though, so. Could still all be circumstantial. lol Russell Martin has a 10 wRC+ 10! He has 16 hits for the entire season, 15 of them singles. In fairness, that walk-off hit last week would have been an easy double if it hadn't ended the game. That's a thing, right?
500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Zaun never fails to pick out the negative in any positive... he's got a great OBP but.. STFU
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Holy f***, Zaun is an absolute moron. Knocking Smoak's OBP because "he can't run".
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Martin needs to start hitting because you can't even say his defense is off the charts, dude lost the game for the Jays last night with a passed ball that half this board could have caught/blocked.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Red Sox now lead 6-3...lol I'd make a joke about you always thinking the sky is falling but it literally just hailed outside my window on May 15th. End times.
ProfessionalAtBat Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Zaun is a shitbag. A complete POS
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Holy f***, Zaun is an absolute moron. Knocking Smoak's OBP because "he can't run". Zaun has said that exact thing before. That OBP doesn't matter if you're not fast.

The outfield was playing shallow with a man on third with only one out, so no it would not have been a double, most likely another out.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 If one wanted to point out the negative with Smoak I guess it'd be his .463 babip and 30% K rate.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 You in Toronto? Mississauga by the Lake Ontario.

It was one passed ball, after a horrible misplay from Carrera and Saunders to get Rua all the way to third base, if Pillar was playing that was an out.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Mississauga by the Lake Ontario. Weird, I am on Bloor in the West end and I don't see anything weird weather yet
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Okay seriously, let's do this Blue Jays!!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Weird, I am on Bloor in the West end and I don't see anything weird weather yet Yeah it's been hailing pretty badly here in Milton, but my boys in Scarborough don't see none either. Could be only west GTA
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I wish Gibby would stop flip flopping the LO guy.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Buck sounds like he did a couple of lines off a hooker's chest before the game.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 That was a less that productive first inning. JD needs to wake the heck up. He's been struggling.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Is there a mediocre pitcher in the AL that this team hasn't made look good yet?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Yup, keep trying to pull those soft pitches away and you'll be playing pepper with the left side of the infield all year. $150 MILLION I SAY!!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Buck sounds like he did a couple of lines off a hooker's chest before the game. Good for him if he did.
