Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Right now you have to lockdown guys, Chavez and Osuna. Gibbons should be able to piece this together but he's always doing random s*** to test guys. Floyd?
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Floyd? Yeah I'd give Floyd/Cecil the 7th.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Jays had the same record last year after 22 games! *silver linings*
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 It seems like teams are always so hesitant to get their guys healthy. It's really weird and stupid but I guess 15 days is a while. For a reliever that is probably like 6 appearances or so. Players don't want to go on the DL especially if they are in a contract year.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Jays had the same record last year after 22 games! *silver linings* Jays and Dickey were pretty much the same at this point last year. Lots of ball left to be played.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Jays had the same record last year after 22 games! *silver linings* Also only 2.5 GB of the division lead. Still so much baseball left, yeah its been a disappointing start but things can change so quickly as we remember last year.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Quintana tomorrow, he's good, but a lefty... stop the bleeding Birds and get on a run.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Quintana tomorrow, he's good, but a lefty... stop the bleeding Birds and get on a run. Another top 10 pitcher, we're getting sweptttttttt.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Players don't want to go on the DL especially if they are in a contract year. Yep, but teams really have to get better at assessing injuries. It's always safer to give a guy more time off and get the results you're looking for when they come back
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Another top 10 pitcher, we're getting sweptttttttt. K...............
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Coming into the game Dickey pitched a lot better than I thought. Whiff rate over 10% and his FIP was the lowest since his Cy Young year. Personally I hate the randomness of the knuckleball but its encouraging to see its not just him pitching bad. A .353 BABIP and LOB% of 52.8% is going to regress big time.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 K............... I've been known to howl at the moon.

If nothing is wrong physically and his velo is just down because of decline there really nothing you can do.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 Jays had the same record last year after 22 games! *silver linings* But almost no ability to make upgrades at the trade deadline this year. Need to start winning some games

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 There is no shame in getting shut down by Chris Sale There *is* shame (and plenty of it) in coughing up 10 runs to the f'n White Sox

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Nah. The knuckler is unpredictable. Sarcasm doesn't excuse the shitshow showing of the bullpen
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Dickey 6.75 ERA for the month of April. Though his FIP of 4.15 is typical for his last 2 years with us.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Yeah I'm not too concerned about Dickey. Underlying stats seem to show he's the same guy as pretty much always. Like the last few years he'll probably improve as the year goes on. Ditto Cecil too. What's up with Storen though?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 What kind of young player can Dickey fetch in the market around the deadline
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 What kind of young player can Dickey fetch in the market around the deadline noah syndergaard's jockstrap
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 What kind of young player can Dickey fetch in the market around the deadline Not much of anything. He won't be traded at the deadline though.
puphood Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 thank god Storen is only signed to one year.....
