Three things to know about this game:

 

• Orioles center fielder Adam Jones made his return to the lineup Wednesday night after he was pulled the night before because of a stomach virus. He is expected to be ready to go for the series finale.

• Toronto right-hander Jesse Chavez was not available for the first two games of the series because of a sore back, and his status for Thursday is questionable. If Chavez's back does not improve over the next day or two, the Blue Jays will have to consider a possible stint on the disabled list.

• Tillman has experienced more than his fair share of struggles against Toronto's powerful lineup. In addition to Encarnacion, Jose Bautista (.282/.356/.590 in 39 at-bats), Josh Donaldson (.304/.333/.565 in 23 at-bats) and Ryan Goins (.391/.417/.522 in 23 at-bats) have caused him a lot of difficulty.
