HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Brandon Webb was so f***ing good. its a shame, the guy was a workhorse and immune to injuries and then it just hit him like a wall
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 A younger Osuna. Really impressive how he's gotten in shape. http://cdn.baseballamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/roberto-osuna-2013-abr-640x480.jpg
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Stroman is basically having the same control issues that Sanchez had last year
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Anyone else trying to avoid this team right now. Hope they had a good draft and there is a turnaround soon
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Anyone else trying to avoid this team right now. Hope they had a good draft and there is a turnaround soon More like indifferent. I think this team will be competitive at the trade deadline but I don't think this team is good enough to beat both Boston and the Orioles. The pitching aside from Estrada and Sanchez has been mediocre (and Happ is clearly outperforming his numbers), not to mention Sanchez won't last long due to the innings limit. The offense is s*** (its already June) and the bullpen is a clusterf***. I will get more excited looking at the prospects we'll be getting at the deadline. Sell.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Getting the playoff drought out of the way last season has at least made me less angry when the Jays lose. The window is nearly closed on the Bautista years, but I've accepted it and am taking whatever I get from this season at is comes. The draft and development of prospects definitely seems more appealing now that I'm seeing how mediocre the big league team is.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 The bullpen is probably the worst part. Loups only job is to get out left handers and we all know what happened yesterday I think it's time to tank the thing
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Looks like Romero syndrome to me. If Stroman starts walking 5+ every start I might agree, but I think he's become too predictable for his own good. Refining his game approach in AAA might go along way.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Apparently Tulo may have suffered a setback in his rehab. Dunedin play-by-play announcer made a tweet about a setback to Tulo but deleted it very quickly.
puphood Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Can't just hang this lack luster effort on one guy. Little consistency to no hitting from Martin, Pillar, EE, Travis & Tulo. Since Travis has taken over @ second base there seems to be a lack of double plays and my onion of his defence remains the same as last year "middle of the road". The Jays were expected to give up some defence by putting Travis on second but get some predictable hitting which has not happened. Martin has been a sore spot both defence and offence. I can't go on its to painful.........

Hope they had a good draft and there is a turnaround soon I change channels, but every time I do,there is some sort of Mohamed Ali tribute going on."YAWN" So it's back to the Jays, then I usually fall asleep.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-tulowitzki-suffers-setback-injured-leg/ Injury update: - Tulo was removed from today's intrasquad game in extended ST with discomfort. Gibby said it wasn't him being reinjured but Tulo was hesitant to keep playing after feeling discomfort, no timetable anymore for return. - Bautista's fine, he was ready to play but Gibby decided to give him off today. Also hinted that he's available for PH duty. No news on Cecil or Morales but both eying a late June possible return. Who knows. No BP sessions for Cecil yet but Morales had light BP sessions

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 As long as Barney continues to play like this, Tulo can take all the time he wants.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 As long as Barney continues to play like this, Tulo can take all the time he wants. Defensively he continues to be stellar but hes no longer hitting which is to be expected.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Travis is down to 154 He should eat steak and broccoli.
