Time to bring back a meet the team event to kickoff the 2016 season?

Having grown up going to the old Variety Village Meet The Blue Jays Luncheons and having the great memories of those meeting the likes of Robbie Alomar, Joe Carter, David Cone etc, I was thinking with all the success the Jays have had recently would it be great to bring it back, I am sure it died off becasue of the dwindling interest in the Jays. Can't even remember when it was last held. It just crossed my mind recently and thought it could be something the Jays could bring back.

Another event that fell by the wayside that gave the opportunity to meet the Jays, getting photos taken and autographs signed was the Welcome Back BBQ, which I also attended last in 2008. Not sure when it eneded too. It was quite reasonable at $40 a ticket was a fundraiser for the Jays Care. It was held on the field and the entire team was there at tables spread around. I was able to get a photo signed by Frank Thomas when he hit his 500 HR during his time with the Jays. I seem to remember the crowd not being too crazy and you being able to enjoy it. Just a tought on a few things they have done in the past.
