Nah, I am 100% sure Greenwood told him to pick Maeda.

Oh definitely. And then likely a list of 2-3 other guys for when it was ruled illegal.

That was Greenwood's actual first choice. He asked me to argue on his behalf so I did. Mostly because his second choice is the guy I want.

You guys are such dicks

His second choice Is Brent Honeywell.

See? I know my Greenwood.

1) Kenta Maeda: he seems to be eligible based on the rules. Try to argue on my behalf. 99.9% chance it gets shut down right away, but 0.01% chance it creates a shitstorm = fun!

Nice general comment with nothing to back it up, good one bud

I'm fooling around with Boxy, figures you'd lay your shyte in now, lol... I have a larger spine than you, and that's saying a lot.

Nice pick on Smegman. He's probably a great trade chip for the Astros, cause I don't see SS or 2B opening up any time soon.

Hoping he finds his way somewhere with a 2B or SS opening. Should eventually.

It's not too late to replace him with NJH, who clearly desperately wants in.

I wanted Honeywell. That screwball.

Now I bet you wish you didn't argue against Maeda, eh dickcheese?

Rule 4 Draft (MiLB)

The annual MiLB draft will be held immediately following the conclusion of the real-life MLB Rule 4 Draft (exact date TBD). The draft will consist of 6 rounds and will be conducted on the League Message Board. Draft picks will be assigned each year at the conclusion of the current year's Rule 4 draft (and next year's picks are able to be traded as soon as they are assigned).

Each owner will be allowed a 12 hour window in which to make their selection. After the 12 hour window, that owner may make their selection as soon as they arrive, but the draft will carry on in their absence and subsequent owners may make their selections.

*The 12 hour window may be subject to change into a 6 hour window in future years, with clocks not ticking during typical sleeping hours, since this system worked well in the League of Despair start up draft*

Only unowned players who have never played an MLB game and who belong to an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted. Players who have been drafted by an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted, even if they have not signed with the parent club (as our annual draft will occur before the signing period has concluded). Drafted prospects that go unsigned and/or return to college may be kept at the owner’s discretion.

There's nothing in the rules to indicate Maeda is ineligible.

E: I feel like North did this once too...

That's for the annual draft, this isn't an annual draft.

Or he comes up in a super utility role, and is the next Ben Zobrist (except Houston doesn't trade him this time), and he fulfills my LOD wet dreams.

Well there were no separate rules, so....

try using a lawyer next time and this wont happen.

We already addressed this and Japanese internationals who are expected to go directly to the majors are ineligible. We discussed Maeda in particular.

Boxcar is a pusso. We did agree to this prior to the draft, why do 3 folks remember to 1? Or he'd have been gone top 10.

I wasn't paying attention

and no offense, if something is ruled, it would help if it went in the rules rather than lost in this shitstorm of a thread.

Not really. People block posters they can't stand to read their posts, which is exactly how I feel about you, only reason I unblocked you is for the fantasy leagues

Pretty good attempt man. Based on the rules, he seemed eligible, and I missed the conversations about him, or else I got them confused with #LOD. Anyway, I figured he wouldn't have slipped this far if he was eligible.

Anyways, I'm happy with Honeywell.
