The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 237. One pick after Homer Bailey. Is Homer Bailey still even playing baseball?

Laika Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 s***** thing about VV in redraft h2h leagues is that he'll get shut down well before the playoffs this season.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 237. One pick after Homer Bailey. I can say honestly I probably would've gone VV. I'm not huge on Bailey though I own him in bbdl. I was going for a young rotation with Bundy, Gausman, Teheran... That's the worst feeling when you nab a gem late and it's only a redraft league.

King and I had been targetting VV since like the low-mid 100s. He just kept dropping, presumably due to him not being guaranteed a rotation spot.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports that the Red Sox could consider a position change for Blake Swihart. The club hasn't been thrilled with Swihart's defense and will activate Christian Vazquez (elbow) from the disabled list prior to Friday's game. They'll likely keep Ryan Hanigan around as Vazquez's backup and send Swihart to Triple-A Pawtucket, and it's possible they'll work Swihart in at other positions, too. The 24-year-old has never played anything but catcher as a pro, but he's a good athlete and likely would be able to handle a switch. However, his bat obviously wouldn't be nearly as interesting at another position. --- RIP Swihart's fantasy career

With Sandoval on the outs and Shaw being a less than sure bet, I would think 3B. It's also one of the more typical conversions.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Swiharts bat is not even good. Should have moved him for Hamels when they could have but that loser Ben Cherrington was a Hoarder.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Im glad the Red Sox are dumb now. Keep him as a C and you can get much more trade value.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Yikes. Good thing I forgot Christian Vazquez existed and called Swihart up literally two days ago. Why would they even entertain the idea of demoting him or having him switch positions? Just pretend that he's a stud and trade him if you think CV is better.

They have already torpedoe Panda's value and Castillo's value. Might as well add Swihart to the tire fire.

I'm sure if they'd just started Panda and stayed quiet for a month or so, they would have been able to pawn of like ~80% of his salary on the Padres. s***, they probably could have gotten some sort of demented "bad contract swap" for James Shields if they wanted.

spittin Verified Member Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Looking for a decent outfielder with CF designation, have MiLB picks #10, #31 and pitching to deal from..
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 So, Bryce Harper is planning to steal bases this year, 3 for 3 so far in 9 games. On top of his .493 wOBA (with a .240 BABIP) Meanwhile, Mike Trout is doing alright, holding it down with a league average bat and a 26% k rate.
