If Benintendi is as good as Boxy thinks, he'll be a championship contender by 2018.

 

yeah, we did our draft before his monster breakout. Make me nervous I made a horrible mistake lol. But I honestly had Tucker higher on my board, so double dumb if he is a monster.

I am skeptical of Benintendi's power going forward, I don't think he'll be a .200+ ISO guy in the majors. I see him as more of a 15-20 HR guy with lots of doubles and good OBP.

Nice pick. He was my 2nd option behind Jackson. It's just a shame he's buried behind so much depth for the foreseeable future.

You always need to apply some general skepticism to an advanced player that only had 54 pro games, all below A+. I think people are getting a little bit carried away with him right now.

That and I'm also just generally skeptical of guys who are 5'10/170 ever hitting for sustained power in the bigs. He could have a few 20+ HR campaigns but I think those will be the exception rather than the baseline. I have similar feelings about Mookie Betts.

Green are just guys that I'm actually targeting, as opposed to other prospects that I have ranked in the same tier but don't necessarily love. Generally when my turn is approaching, I like to highlight a few guys and then really start delving deep into recent reports on them to make my final decision. My board is super unscientific.
