Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Nice pick on Smegman. He's probably a great trade chip for the Astros, cause I don't see SS or 2B opening up any time soon. Bregman, is a nice pick.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 He could do the things that Andrus did before his power fell off a cliff at the age of 24. 285/350/375 with 5/90/60/30 is pretty OK from a shortstop. IMO he has considerably more power than Andrus. Andrus has a career .077 ISO, Steamer projects a .118 ISO for Arcia this year to go along with .146 in AA as a 21 year old. He can run into 10+ HR more years than not.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Tell me when this has happened. Stop it man, you're rude.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I have Greenwood's pick and according to the rules, there is absolutely nothing illegal about it, nor is the rule particularly ambiguous... He wants Kenta Maeda

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 He's an MLB pick in this drafr? Rule 4 Draft (MiLB) The annual MiLB draft will be held immediately following the conclusion of the real-life MLB Rule 4 Draft (exact date TBD). The draft will consist of 6 rounds and will be conducted on the League Message Board. Draft picks will be assigned each year at the conclusion of the current year's Rule 4 draft (and next year's picks are able to be traded as soon as they are assigned). Each owner will be allowed a 12 hour window in which to make their selection. After the 12 hour window, that owner may make their selection as soon as they arrive, but the draft will carry on in their absence and subsequent owners may make their selections. *The 12 hour window may be subject to change into a 6 hour window in future years, with clocks not ticking during typical sleeping hours, since this system worked well in the League of Despair start up draft* Only unowned players who have never played an MLB game and who belong to an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted. Players who have been drafted by an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted, even if they have not signed with the parent club (as our annual draft will occur before the signing period has concluded). Drafted prospects that go unsigned and/or return to college may be kept at the owner’s discretion. There's nothing in the rules to indicate Maeda is ineligible. E: I feel like North did this once too...
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Maeda is ineligible. Did he leave a list or just the one pick?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Little drama never hurt anything. Kudos AG
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Maeda is ineligible. Did he leave a list or just the one pick? Why is he ineligible? He's not.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 It was stated that Maeda would go into the mlb portion of the draft.

BTS Community Moderator Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 We already addressed this and Japanese internationals who are expected to go directly to the majors are ineligible. We discussed Maeda in particular. He knows. He's trolling, and I suspect that he has Greenwood's actual pick.
spittin Verified Member Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 International signees who are expected to go directly to the majors should be in the MLB draft. Basically, anybody from Korea or Japan. It doesn't look like any Cubans are going to do that this year. Bump, this was determined a few weeks ago, my apologies for not including it in the rules. Greenwood's likely trolling.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 He knows. He's trolling, and I suspect that he has Greenwood's actual pick. Nah, I am 100% sure Greenwood told him to pick Maeda. He's a dickcheese weasel like that.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 He knows. He's trolling, and I suspect that he has Greenwood's actual pick. That was Greenwood's actual first choice. He asked me to argue on his behalf so I did. Mostly because his second choice is the guy I want. You guys are such dicks His second choice Is Brent Honeywell.
