EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I know that feeling exactly. It's what I felt the Saturday and Sunday after 0-2 to the rangers. Might have more to do with lowered expectations than anything else. Yeah, I think most people have now accepted the chances from here on for what it is. Just hoping for a good performance more than anything, would hate to see us go down without much fight like we did in game 1 or 4.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I woke up with a very odd sense of calm. Not devastation, just an odd feeling of comfort. Wishful thinking? Perhaps. But I feel like Saturday night we're going to be watching a ball game. I have some family who are bandwagoners going to the game. LISTEN BLUE JAYS... THE BANDWAGONERS HAVE SUPPORTED YOU THROUGH THICK AND THIN FOR 10 weeks now... not just 3 weeks 10 entire weeks by my count!!! You owe them something. For the love of Joe Carper win the goddamn game today!!! That's all.

That would mean a win in a Price start and a lot of restored pride for the team overall.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Forgot about the walks, his stuff seemed good though. Wasn't he hitting 97? Don't think he does that normally. The stat line on Volquez wasn't good at all - LOB 100%. 5 Ks and 4 BBs. But all the players and the ex players commentating were talking about his velocity being up and great movement.

His velo has ticked up over the last month or so http://www.brooksbaseball.net/velo.php?player=450172&b_hand=-1&gFilt=&pFilt=FA|SI|FC|CU|SL|CS|KN|CH|FS|SB&time=game&minmax=ci&var=mph&s_type=2&endDate=10/21/2015&startDate=09/01/2015
