McDude Verified Member Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Well, I think we now know why we lost the first two games... i have a feeling luck will surely turn our way as we complete the series victory 3-2 with some help from norm and lil b.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 If I ban all the saber guys for a couple innings they would have time to crunch the numbers? lol or maybe that wasn't the half you were talking about? We don't need that long to crunch numbers. My excel spreadsheet is constantly updating with all the newest statistics and metrics like run differential, xBAN, approval rating, etc.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Navarro is a starter for many other teams in this league. Lucky to have his switch hitting bat, with some power and precision. Can he really be as bad as Martin in game 2? Then theres No need to mess with the Estrada-Dioneer karma. Jays are two plays away from leading this series 2-0. Theres razor thin difference these games between winner and loser, statistics aside Going to Navvy isn't the end of the world. But he isn't a starter for many teams...maybe a couple. Martin's game 2 shouldn't be an issue. Our best 5 hitters were for 3 for 27 and need to do better. Anytime you choose to play an absolutely crucial game without your best line up its a very debateable decision. If we were up 2-0 it would raise some eyebrows but wouldn't be as large of an issue.

reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Are realaccountant and I the only 2 people who think Navarro should be starting? The guy has chemistry with Estrada and it's been working. I wouldn't mess with that despite the downgrade in D.

I also have more confidence in Navarro to come through with the bat tonight than I do Martin. I think it could be the same as putting Colabello into game 2 over Smoak. There is so much negativity on this board tonight that it is getting me down.

Think the board survives a sweep? I probably wouldn't be around, would be too busy crying myself to sleep w/ a vat of ice cream

FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 How many 3 game win streaks this year?

Just enjoy October baseball, AA built the best team on paper and we've all had an exciting 2 months of ball.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I hope everyone remembers that this is just a game. Even if the Blue Jays go on to sweep and win the World Series it isn't going to significantly change anyone's life, likewise if they lose tonight. I am just happy that the Blue Jays beat the Yankees to win the AL East, anything else is gravy. I can remember how frustrating it was to watch the Blue Jays just before the All Star break and now they are in the ALDS.

It's just a game but any MLB player makes more money that all our salaries in this forum combined, so it is a serious game. Nevertheless, I agree we should be grateful they got to the ALDS
