Woodmans first at bat.. Inside the park home run lol. But the umpire ruled the RF couldn't field the ball that went near the Canadians on field bullpen and sent Woodman back to 2nd.

I can believe that, the way their bullpens are situated it's a weird dynamic when balls are hit there with how the fences get narrower and narrower towards the corner

Canadiens facing former Jay draftee Jacob Brentz. Brentz got some time in AAA this year with Tacoma/Seattle, but now hes back in the NWL, lol. I guess Seattle needed him short term in AAA earlier this year as everyone was hurt.

Perhaps the most well known name is Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the son of longtime Major League Baseball standout Vladimir Guerrero. At 17, he is the youngest player on the roster, having signed as a free agent last year for a reported $3.5 million.

 

His father, who played for 16 seasons, most of which came with the Montreal Expos and the Los Angeles Angels, batted .318 with 449 home runs, nearly 1,500 RBIs, while making nine All-Star teams and earning American League MVP honors in 2004.

 

His son will play third base for Bluefield.

 

“His tools are there, he is just 17 years old,” Holmberg said. “He was an outfielder as a free agent and got a lot of money to sign. You think to yourself, not knowing, ‘Is this guy worth that kind of money.’

 

“When you saw him play in extended spring training he had no fear. He has converted to third base, it has been an easy transition, hands are good, his arm is a plus, his instincts are very, very good.

 

“He is from a baseball family, watching, listening, traveling, tremendous power, has no fear and can steal a base. He is an exciting player. He is the kind you just wind him up and let him go.”

 

Other players to watch for are Jose Espada, Hansel Rodriguez, Reggie Pruitt. Lot's of players we drafted like Bradley Jones, Ridge Smith, Chris Hall, Kyle Weatherly, Connor Eller, Andrew Deramo, Angel Alicea, Luke Gillingham. Kelyn Jose sits mid 90s with his fastball so he could be semi interesting too.
