Followthelight Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Tulo lost at the plate.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Man brutal game. Hopefully they crush them tomorrow (and a better approach against Davis please).
Soft Hands Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 even though they loaded the bases that was a pretty ugly inning
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Coming into the series I figured this was the one game I could see us likely dropping, I had this feeling that we weren't going to sweep the Orioles. Price needs to have a big shut down game tm for us, this is what we got him for. Then hopefully we can pull it off on Sunday to at least win the series.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Man brutal game. Hopefully they crush them tomorrow (and a better approach against Davis please). I'm pretty sure what Martin wanted had little to do with the balls hutch hung belt high to Davis. they need better execution of the approach and we should get that from Price. less than 15 hours until they get another shot at the Os
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Tough one it's going to happen. just need it to happen to the yankees a couple more times than it does to the jays.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 K I'm drunk. Night folks My throat has been brutal all day; will alcohol make it worse or will it not matter at all?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Let's go Price. Bring it tomorrow. Just not our nite tonight. Tulo so steady on D but still struggling mightily @ plate.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 it's going to happen. just need it to happen to the yankees a couple more times than it does to the jays. Hopefully we win the next two then the Rays can at least take the 3rd game vs. Yanks with Archer to at least get back to the status quo of 1.5 games it was coming in.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 My throat has been brutal all day; will alcohol make it worse or will it not matter at all? alcohol may not make you healthy but it makes being sick less annoying.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 alcohol may not make you healthy but it makes being sick less annoying. This is true, though thinking about it I should probably just go to bed since I've barely slept all week and don't want to feel like s*** all weekend.
Trekkie Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Tulosuckzki I'm not really serious but what's up with this guys bat, so many swing-and-misses... so much bad contact.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Don't expect the Rays to win tomorrow. Gotta hope Archer can have one of those untouchable games on Sun.
Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 bought last minute tickets to this game at 6:00 and we were pumped! caught a foul ball from donaldson in the same ab where he tied it at 2-2 right before hutch laid an egg that deflated the team. love to see stro get in a game and into hutch's spot.

Not expecting much help from Rays, most I am expecting is that like you said, Archer can pull one off on Sunday, and that we win the next two games to get back to where we was coming into this series. Ultimately it's all mostly going to come down to the face to face matchups with the Yanks anyway...
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Just seems like the Yankees never lose. We can't have one loss or they get closer. f***ing infuriating.

Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Just seems like the Yankees never lose. We can't have one loss or they get closer. f***ing infuriating. They're a good team, but we picked up a s*** load of games on them since the trade deadline. This team is going to lose some games, we just need to hope it builds resiliency and feeds into their competitiveness to win the next game. As long as that keeps happening we're good. I like our team head to head against anyone right now.

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Is this the first time you've ever watched baseball? No. It's just that every division but ours and the AL West have sizable leads. I hate the Yankees.
Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 No. It's just that every division but ours and the AL West have sizable leads. I hate the Yankees. You realize that the Yankees had a sizeable lead before we took it from them right?
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 No. It's just that every division but ours and the AL West have sizable leads. I hate the Yankees. Did you think the Yankees would just roll over and give the Jays the division? You do realize that they want to win too, right?
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Jays better get stroman in here fast, because as I see it the Yankees have better starting pitching and bullpen than the Jays and as we know good pitching beats good hitting. As it stands now the Yankees should easily overtake the Jays for first place. Jays pen is fine. It's actually really good. The beauty of all this, is the Jays still control their own destiny! Over reacting to every single loss for the next month isn't the greatest idea.

canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 lol Jays offense >>>> Yanks Jays SP > Yanks Bullpen is tough to gauge the yanks have two great RP's but Jays have a solid pen. Blue Jays will win the AL EAST

To put that in perspective, the Jays would win a 127 games with a .787 pct - making them the best baseball team of all time. The fact the Jays made up 8.5 games in a month is a miracle.
