Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Its not about deserving. Its about winning and putting the arm on the bump that gives you the best probability of winning. Period. Yes. And people are getting bent out of shape because they want stroman in the rotation so badly that they're forgetting that he hasn't pitched an inning in 2015 and will have 2 minor league rehab starts under his belt. For people that like advanced starts and probability an awful lot, this is taking a big chance by handing over 20% of your teams starts to a pitcher that is essentially in spring training now. If one of the starters were struggling that's one thing... But all five are giving you a chance to win right now. Now isn't the time to rock the boat. Is there a chance that stroman steps in and pitches just like he did to end last season? Yes. But there's also a chance that he needs more innings until he gets to that point. I'm not so sure that I'm willing to risk the division on it.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Why do all Yankee fans on twitter think all Jays fans are bandwagoners... Seriously, think about this. Fans of the team that has won more than anyone are crying about other fans being bandwagoners. These are also the same people who accuse the Jays of being roiders. Yankees fans are some truly special snowflakes.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 So Archer goes against the Yanks on Sunday. Does he dominate them like he does us? Can't remember.

This is a kid with 20 MLB starts coming off a major injury with a prolonged hiatus from big league action. If he isn't going to give us the best probability of a W I don't want to see him get the ball. He might get lit up when he comes back. Who knows.

I'm not so sure that I'm willing to risk the division on it. Very well said. On his peak he is fully deserving to be inserted. But it is way to risky to give it a shot now. if hutch struggles on the road again, then he might be slotted in there after bullpen appearances (hopefully pitching the 8th and 9th in a 15-1 win).

No. Didn't say you were pro getting stroman back in at all cost... Was just adding to your 'it's about winning' thought.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Question to Donaldson: "When you were looking at the catcher, did you think you could make it?" What is that? Obviously he thought he could or he wouldn't have gone. Come on now.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Also, as always, he is sexy as f***.

Stroman should be inserted as soon as he's ready. if he gets decimated, then revaluate. If not...the spot is his.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Yeah, Buerhle's soft stuff doesn't bode well. Stro pls.
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 So I'll be going to the game tonight. Section 130, Row 1. And if you see a crazy dude in red carrying this, along with a poster with a muscular Blue Jay, its me http://i.imgur.com/zZkzf8S.jpg I just got home but I swear I saw this on the big screen.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Good luck with 85 mph meatballs getting shelled in the playoffs then. So Buehrle hadn't been very solid for this team in 2015 and hasn't given the team a chance on most nights?
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 So Buehrle hadn't been very solid for this team in 2015 and hasn't given the team a chance on most nights? And now, admitted by him, he feels dead. This evidenced by his recent starts.

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Buerhle's very reliable but when you have a Ferrari in the garage, you use it This nonsense about not having Stroman start is beyond stupid.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 So now...16-1? Wow!!! #RealMinIsADeity
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Anyone else see the Stroman interview? PUT THE MAN IN THE BIG NOW!!!!!!
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Is anyone more pumped to be on this team than Revere?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Is anyone more pumped to be on this team than Revere? Thole. Dude shouldn't even be in the majors, let alone a contender.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 last warning.... now it's bans for people who cannot show respect to the rules and the mods.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 It makes us think he's old. Unacceptable. I always think GD is sipping on a Tim's every time he posts.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I don't recall a time BBBB wasn't into the rum Etu Dylan... Then falls BBBB ! Lol
baubau Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Well, I probably am. No you're not. You don't drink coffee. You've already admitted it! Unless you are drinking hot chocolate in which case I start to question how smart you really are buying it from Tims instead of making it yourself.
