Amphetamines artificially stimulate brain activity. As a recreational drug, it is familiarly known as "speed." While not illegal, it does require a prescription. In a season that covers 162 games played in 180 days, many players came to rely on greenies for bursts of energy to make it through the grueling schedule. It helps players focus and recover after long night games. Unlike steroids, which transform ballplayers into completely different athletes, greenies temporarily help focus.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Hollon is a dummy. Hope it was an honest mistake and he learns to be more careful.

Doesn't matter, their illegal and on the banned substance list. Don't do drugs.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Doesn't matter, their illegal and on the banned substance list. Don't do drugs. This is correct. Whether they help or not isn't the issue. Athletes have been getting busted for years and years taking seemingly harmless stuff. There shouldn't be any surprises anymore. Don't put anything in your body that your team doctors haven't cleared for you. Hollon should know this. He either tried to cheat and got caught...or was stupid and took something else without checking if he was allowed to. Bottom line...be smarter.
