How could he have accounted for that f***tard running back to third? Carrera made so many stupid ass decisions on that play, and Pillar was compensating by making smart moves behind him. If Carrera had kept going, knowing he was guaranteed to be out, there would have been a man on third.

 

The only stupid thing Pillar did was he didn't try to sprint back to second, which would have immediately alerted the other moron to stay on third.

He started to walk off the base, then realized he was still being tagged, was off balance at that point, and fell.

Carerra was trying to draw a throw because he knew Pillar was a goner in a run down. Someone was going to be out unless Seattle made a throwing error, either Pillar or Carerra. Either Pillar in the run down or Carerra trying to draw a throw, it's done with.
