RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Looking at the standings.. Yanks are pulling away. Everyone else is .500 (Jays, Orioles), or below (Rays, Red Sox). No help in the wild card either due to L.A. and Minnesota's surge. Let's pray the Tigers and Mariners win tonight. I'm not wasting my prayers. The way the Jays have been assembled they don't deserve to win. Good management should lead to victory. The best thing that can happen to this franchise is a complete collapse leading to handshakes for Beeston AA and Gibby

Sox most likely still will be, but Boston are probably going to make moves if they can win a couple more series.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Just like most teams. Not really. I'm trying to say that it has been more extreme version of what you're thinking.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 This year doesn't hurt like last year

They can't catch the Royals (11 GB), and the Twins/Angels are 6 games up on the White Sox. And the only seller getting back in the race is the Red Sox.. incompetence by us, the Rangers, Orioles and Rays have allowed the Twins and Angels, along with the Yankees and Royals to build up bigger leads in their races and wild card. And our drop pales in comparison to the mess in Tampa.. since their peak at 40-30, the Rays have gone an unbelievably bad 3-15. Now that is ugly. (we're 10-14 since the 11-game streak ended)

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 he said his shoulder isn't 100%. have to wonder if it is effecting his swing. Hence why he should turn down his all star game appearance, being a team player ! Lol

If they took or would take Reyes from us now.

nextyear Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I recorded the game and just finished watching it (on fast forward since I knew the final score). It was another disappointing loss. The Chicago pitcher was good. Ryan Goins showed so much confidence in his defensive ability at SS. I could see that he really took charge at SS. I take back what I said about Jose Reyes playing 5 games a week and Ryan Goins playing 1 - 2 games a week to give Reyes a break, Ryan Goins should play almost everyday at SS. That would give the whole team a boost defensively. Even Goins' swing has seemed better the last couple of games that he has played (he has been hitting line drives instead of popups, which would result in a much higher BABIP). I am going to stop apologizing for being a fan of Ryan Goins; he is the real deal at SS. I wish the Blue Jays would trade Reyes for either another outfielder or, even better, a starting pitcher.

Governator Community Moderator Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I thought it was 22mil a year? Sorry you're right, I was looking at the AAV of the contract. $17 would be more tradeable. f***, that's ugly.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 It is ugly that's why you eat 8-12 and take the savings errrr Money and Run! Or trade him to the Yankees and for hot dogs with mustard next time your in town! Lol
