Let's hope he was rushing to Dunedin for an extended spring training...

Part of me always wishes he would do this If anyone else can pitch at MB velocity and be successful it would probably be him.

The difference between two months of a pitcher two years removed from an MLB career who can throw strikes versus a pitcher who walks 5 a game and random non-prospects who are filling his shoes while he's out could be the difference between making and not making the playoffs. That's how desperate the Jays need to upgrade their staff, through any means necessary. We just need to inject some of Dave Stieb's DNA into Halladay to get him to want to pitch again.

Halladay had other medical issues that were stopping him. Plus he couldn't really throw much when he left. There are reports he tried again the other offseason but it didn't work out. It is a nice fantasy though. We all thought Halladay was the type to be able to pitch into his 40s. Think he is 38 now... There would be no end to his legacy if he ever made a comeback and helped the team. Obviously a pipe dream though.

f***ing Clemens ruined HGH for all other HOF caliber pitchers with their arm in need of repair in their late 30's....Halladay sure could use a few injections right about now.

200 Wins, almost 3K innings, 65 War, great teamate with no off the field drama. Should be in the hall of fame. Was easily a better pitcher than Tom Glavine

Is Doc a first ballot HOFer? Or a HOFer at all? Longevity is the only thing that might keep him out.

I think he'll get in, but the voters will string him along 4 or 5 times since he isn't quite in the category of "super duper elite first ballot" Hall of Famer. My guess is he'll be around the 50% mark for the first couple of years.

I've heard the "great teammate" thing is somewhat of a myth. Not that he was a cancer or anything but was more feared than respected.

While he dominated a decade and won some hardware, I don't think Doc gets in.

Not enough wins and longevity suffered. Sadly if he posted sub standard results for an additional 4 years maybe he would get in, just to enhance his win total but as a detriment to his over all stats.

I voted for Jamie Moyer in my HOF ballot as he actually has more wins than almost half of HOF starting pitchers for that reason.

I never liked Jeff Reardon's beard. I thought it looked dumb.

a few injections of hgh is pointless

I believe Halladay has a fairly significant digestive problem. HGH probably wouldn't do anything to help.
