Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Best team wRC+ vs. Lefties since fangraphs have been calculating it was the Dodgers in 2002 with 128. Jays are sitting at 140 right now. Do they break that record? Hope so, the alternative is they regress, and with this pitching staff.....
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I thought we were talking about how ridiculous this offense was..lol. Travis should be back in a couple weeks and it should be: Reyes Donaldson Bats EE Martin Smoak Travis Collabella/Valencia/Saunders Pillar That`s fricking insane..especially against lefties. If Pompey regains his Mojo in the minors and comes back even better! Pompey in Center and pillar in left or platooning our bench gets better too! Goins can be a defensive replacement for Reyes or spell Reyes or travis on off days!
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 If Saunders was a player without health issues the Jays would have had to give up more than Happ. They knew what they got themselves into. Let's just be happy that his replacement level replacements have been temporarily good, at least offensively. Correct. And Seattle was looking to trade him because of his oft-injured past, at least to a significant extent. 2 years of control also. Plus, signing a FA LF would've cost way more. All in all, I'm happy with Saunders+Estrada+Smoak+savings over Cabrera/FA LF+Happ+Lind at a higher payroll.
