Well... I need you to pass the hat for a Greek Dinner for me. I can't do s*** on this empty stomach!"

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 While we wait and see what's going on in the Jays clubhouse, the Yanks game just ended with a crazy finish.. Yanks, down 5 at one point, got within 1 with Tex hitting a HR, and had the tying run at 1st, before Headley flew out to lose the game vs. the Rangers 10-9.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 AA: cmon guys, it's a long season, let's right this ship.

King Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Dave Gershman @Dave_Gershman 23s23 seconds ago I can't speculate on Anthopolous' intentions for going in clubhouse, but all week John Gibbons' role with club has been elephant in room.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Dave Gershman @Dave_Gershman 12s12 seconds ago Gibbons did state the other day when asked what he'd do if he was GM: "Maybe fire the manager." lol
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Probably going down there to eat the leftovers from dinner.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I doubt AA would fire Gibbons on his own, if Gibbons was to be fired, it would come from above AA.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I thought I read yesterday that AA wasn't interested in firing Gibbons and knows the problem lies on the roster, on his shoulders.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Man even thinking about firing Gibby after your triple aaa roster faced one of the best pitchers in ball and lost kinda seems wrong! Even if your a true and real gibby hater, just wrong! FYSMC AA gonna die when gibby goes all redneck up on him and kicks his ass! Two birds one Stone, for some wishes do come true! Lol

Lol I wonder if they are discussing who gets let go, who can be traded and who can be called up. Changes need to be made and they need to figure out what they have in the system that they want and what they can live without.

I'm tired of hearing about Gibbons. Even if he hasn't been great, it has nothing at all to do with how s*** this team has been. Edited May 23, 2015 by LTR

Blame our s*** rotation and AA.

Even if he hasn't been great, it has nothing at all to do with how s*** this team has been. Why you blaming me? I was responding to some tweet from some guy about there being speculation all week about Gibbons. All I did was point out that I didn't think AA would fire Gibbons unless the dumber higherups forced him to. I thought I read yesterday that AA said the team had roster problems, not manager problems. Plus, AA went out on a limb to retread Gibbons out of nowhere in part, as he put it, because they had become friends during Gibbons's first stint with Jays. For the record, I don't think Gibbons has helped his cause this season with many of his decisions. However, we all know their 3 top starters have pitched like garbage, they have 3 regular position players on the DL plus Bautista's injured shoulder is screwing up the roster to an extent.
