  • Veteran Blue Jays knuckleballer R.A. Dickey takes the Rogers Centre mound against the Braves on Saturday afternoon, looking to bounce back from a rough outing. Dickey walked home a pair of runs in the Blue Jays' 2-1 loss to the Rays on Monday. The right-hander walked five and balked for the first time since 2013. Entering his third start, the 40-year-old is still working on his command -- something he hoped to improve on this season.

 

Braves:

  • Alex Wood will get the start for the Braves. The left-hander is coming off a no-decision against the Mets in which he threw 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and three walks. Wood (1-0) has yet to face the Blue Jays in his career.

bluejays have lost 4 or 5 one run games. Very unlucky already

 

Lots of mental errors, non clutch hitting and poor pitching.

 

Hopefully they can put everything together this afternoon and get a W

Even so, other teams make those same mistakes. Unfortunately just not in those situations

I love how after a single game Russell Martin's wRC+ goes from 8 to 86 and his fWAR -0.2 to 0.3.

 

It just shows how fast numbers can change in small samples.

They stepped up big time yesterday, the top of order got on 8 times last night. Navarro just couldn't come through

watching mlb.tv it's hard to just pop between games. I think I'll split screen my tv with hoops and United V Chelsea and have my laptop for baseball. it's either that or move one of my pcs.
