No thread yet, so why not?

Most notable is that this is a Norris start against a majority-big leaguers Rays squad. Should be fun.

I won't be doing any play-by-play, but:

First three batters reach:

-Carrera doubles

-Izturis RBI Single

-Barton HBP

I forgot to mention this one's also on 590, or at least it is via MLB.com. So good to hear the voice of baseball again.

Hopefully Norris eliminates Estrada from the rotation today. I will barf if he makes starts this season.

I'll hold your hair back for you.

He has nothing to gain in Buffalo anyway. The guy destroyed that league in 22 IP. 38 K's. 15 k/9.

Sure he can work on his walks, but he's been a 3 BB/9 guy all thsi time.

it could be as simple as dehydration or heat stroke...

it could be acute gonorrhea too?

anyone else have a guess

At first I felt "goood now the Rays are weaker"

but then I realized that this means Souza will have to wait longer to reach his potential (I think he can be a good MLB player)

and the Rays are probably a 4th/5th place team this year, so I don't like kicking teams when they are down.

Souza, diving, can't come up with a catch and hurts wrist badly. Trainers out now. Sounds like he's in considerable pain.

EDIT: He's staying in the game. Wow.

Souza may have just broken his wrist on that base hit by Diaz on the trap..

EDIT: Never mind, he's staying in the game.

lol

could still be broken. or just a sprain.

I think last year a player got hit in the wrist and stayed in the game, but it turned out to be fractured.

Yeah, seems to be nothing. In my defense, Wilner made it sound like the guy's wrist twisted into a right angle or something.

What? A Blue Jays radio or TV announcer over reacting??? Have never heard of such a thing. LOL
