I don't think they have that much money left and there are still plenty of holes in the pen (and possibly 2B). There may be a signing or two before ST begins, but I don't think they'll be big.

 

Exactly, a lot of the posters are so optimistic that since we are so early in the offseason, moves will happen. Reality is we are likely DONE. Small tinkers ahead sure and something big could potentially happen, but it would be unexpected. The lot of you are acting as though moves are a direct consequence of time left in the offseason. Having this much time left in the off-season if anything is a BAD thing because it gives all the other teams with resources opportunity to get better.

We probably don't even have the funds to go after him if we were re-signing him while he was a pending FA for the bluejays, nvm during FA.

 

What I'm hoping for from this point forward is that all major FA's stay away from the AL East.

There was rumors of Samardzija to the White Sox the same night that Donaldson was traded to the Jays. I remember someone tweeted the deal would be done that weekend. Tim Anderson also tweeted about Oakland on that Saturday, but it was deleted pretty quickly.

Really the only s***** teams in the AL are now Minny and Houston. Should be more parity as Oak has gotten worse while Red Sox/Jays get better with SEA being pretty good too. I think TEX is going to have a hard time turning it around with the current roster they have. Too many holes to fill.

Making comments about his injuries being related to the turf was ridiculous and I took it that he said that to discouraged free agents to sign with Toronto which was classless imo.
