howard Verified Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Congratulations to the Toronto Blue Jays. They have once again scaled baseball's heights by clinching a .500 season. All those involved must be acknowledged. Alex Anflopolous for guiding the team with a steady hand and John Gibbons for inspiring the team with his far-seeking vision. The Blue Jays organization has once again redefined the true meaning of mediocrity. A parade is planned but the time and location have not yet been announced.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 "We have improved in wins every year since 2012...." Saving Beeston the trouble of having to spout that line some time next month.

Wasn't easy but by trading high ceiling prospects he was able to bring in mediocre players on bad contracts and get this team to .500 Long live the fat Greek Long live the Best Long live Gibby

Not that it means anything and we'll get a slightly worse draft pick. God dammit though I'll still be cheering for the Jays today (mostly because i have tickets to the game) When was the last time we finished 2nd? It's been awhile.

I believe the last year the Jays finished 2nd was the last year that no wildcard came out of this division :/
