The rookie southpaw provided Seattle's rotation a big lift after getting healthy the final two months and has the fourth-lowest ERA of any pitcher in MLB history for their first 15 career starts at 1.91. The Canadian native has never faced Toronto.

Valencia slid like an idiot, aiming his foot to the inside part of the bag instead of the outside. It was so close that they had to waste a challenge on a fundamentally bad play. I not watching on TV but based on MLB gameday the Blue Jays won the challenge so they don't lose their challenge. I guess we should all start dumping on Valencia for getting a 3 run double and then scoring a run!

He's been amazing at the plate all year. Complete hitter now more than he used to be. But many will just see fewer home runs than previous and think he's not as good.
