baubau Verified Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 If the jays can finish second this year I think that would be a huge boost to team morale and the momentum from that could carry over to next year. Finishing at a certain position really doesn't mean much. A lot of factors can go into why a team placed higher than another. The team could have a better record overall next year and find themselves worse than 2nd if the teams around them improve.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 pretty sure like 3 of his hrs are against the jays

Thats a load of ********. Come spring training no one cares what happened last season. Probably a better benefit to finishing worse and getting more draft and intl bonus money.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 That woman probably has no idea how much money that ball is worth.

nextyear Verified Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Two spectacular diving catches But no hits again. If only Gose and Pillar could hit on a somewhat consistent basis. Remember in May when the Jays were leading the league in homeruns and were close to the top in RBIs? It seems like years ago.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 If the jays can finish second this year I think that would be a huge boost to team morale and the momentum from that could carry over to next year. After leading the division by 6 games
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Pillar n Gose are failing hard
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 How did Pillar miss that one? It was heading towards his glove (when he dove)
bill Verified Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Very doubtful Cabrera will be back which means they are stuck with Pillar and John Mayberry in left?
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I think I will shut the game off now. I think I have seen this episode before. I think the Blue Jays come back to tie the game only to lose it in the 10th.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Very doubtful Cabrera will be back which means they are stuck with Pillar and John Mayberry in left? If AA doesn't sign Melky, look for Pompey to be called up by mid May.
Vincent Verified Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 If AA doesn't sign Melky, look for Pompey to be called up by mid May. Anybody but gose and pillar

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 His character is worth 5 WAR. His Leadership is worth 6.2 WAR so hes actually a 10 win player. What about JMac?
