eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 That might be a dagger. Jays desperately needed to gain ground tonight.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Don't forget the KC/TEX game too. We could still pick up ground.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Cody Allen is everywhere but the goddamn strike zone. I stand corrected. He left that one right over the heart of the plate for J.D. Martinez. Nice job, dingleberry.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 f*** you Cody Allen.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 That might be a dagger. Jays desperately needed to gain ground tonight. Honestly its not going to happen

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Lol Wilner If AA has to ask whether or not to pick up Morrow's option. He should be fired right away
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 KC threatening ,2on 2out.. bot 8 Its just not possible
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Alright. Time to commit seppuku to atone for my jinxing here.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Lol Wilner If AA has to ask whether or not to pick up Morrow's option. He should be fired right away I have to agree with Wilner. There isn't a no-brainer out there more obvious than this one.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 It's in the books. Indians blow it. Tigers win.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Alright. Time to commit seppuku to atone for my jinxing here. Boy oh boy edwin sure looked dangerous, and scary...so much so pitcher didnt want nothing to do with him. Lol@buck "Hey first time Edwin let go of the bat,and thats a good sign" I agree, but funny to hear it from Buck.

Soon he'll be crushing a few like it's nothing.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I admire everyone's optimism, but does anyone really think we still have a chance in hell at anything other than a slightly above .500 record this season? Six games back with four teams ahead of us and less than a month to go. It's not happening, folks. Be happy with 82-85 wins.

You may or may not know about this wikipedia below, but i think it helps the team to know Lawrie is done for the year, and they aren,t wondering whether or not he is coming back. In 1978, the Red Sox, led by Jim Rice, Carl Yastrzemski, Fred Lynn and catcher Carlton Fisk, and managed by future Yankee coach Don Zimmer,[111][112] were looking good for the World Series (aka "Fall Classic") for the second time in the decade. They led the Yankees in the standings by 14 games in mid-July, with less than three months to go in the regular season.[113] However, the Yankees turned their season around just as the Red Sox seemed to collapse.[114] By September 7, the Yankees had whittled down the 14-game deficit to only four games, just in time for a four-game series at Fenway Park in Boston.[115] The Yankees won all four games in the series by a combined score of 42–9.[116] This series became known as the "Boston Massacre".[115] On September 16, the Yankees held a 3 1⁄2-game lead over the Red Sox, but the Sox won 12 of their next 14 games (and their last eight in a row) to overcome that deficit and finish in a first-place tie with the Yankees.[117] A one-game playoff was scheduled in Boston to determine who would win the AL East pennant for 1978.[10]

I think AA would be very happy with 85 wins considering the injuries to the team. It would be the highest of the AA era since 2010.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 That might be a dagger. Jays desperately needed to gain ground tonight. They did gain ground tonight,on Cleveland and the Yanks. We're only half a game away from surpassing both these teams and leaving only Seattle and the Tigers to catch. We did well in the WC standings tonight.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 Jays4life19 with another excellent performance. Make that 2-0.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 They have to go 20-5. 3 days ago they had to go 23-5
