gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That HR just bought Valencia a week against RHP I hope so..
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That cop is smoking haha wow Yup.. Banging material, with the uniform on.
leaffie Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 He's working out in Dunedin, no timetable when he's coming back, doesn't sound good. From Rotowire Thanks all
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Great move bringing in Valencia if Fransisco is out.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That HR just bought Valencia a week against RHP I sure as hell hope so
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 You're confusing things. He didn't miss by an inch or two. He missed across the other side of the plate. There was absolutely nothing that could be done there. By anyone. The ump still should have gotten the call correct, but the only thing Navarro could do, when set up on one side of the plate, and the ball is completely on the other side, is grab it. When we talk about missing his spot, we aren't talking about being slightly off. On this particular circumstance you may be correct but over the course of the season there have been times where it has missed by a few inches and Navarro turns a strike into a ball. There is a reason he has some of the worst framing numbers in MLB.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 my left eyebrow just rose 1 inch on that hit.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Keep Pillar playing, his head is usually in the game.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 An eight game win streak would make things interesting.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I would have let him have an AB there.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I sure as hell hope so Yup. I don't want to see any part of Francisco..
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 2nd time Pillar is motoring for a double. Like to see that kind of effort. Love his intensity
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Gotta love Pillar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Great great great great great great great great great great hustle
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Pillar's speed is underrated
kgm1 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 And I'm responding to anecdotal whining. No matter how you spin it Moogy ,Navarro is the worst starting catcher defensively in the majors. as for his bat , I didn't expect more. It is above replacement level
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Reyes looked like he wasn't even running hard there.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Reyes seems to be so passive when he gets on base. He doesn't look to steal very much for a guy that fast.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Speed works both ways...Offense/Defense cant rely on Hrs,and hitting all the time.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Yes, but who gives a s***? We know he's not good. But that doesn't mean every time he doesn't get a call, it's "wah! He sucks!" and every time a questionable call doesn't go the Jays way it's "the umps suck." It's f***ing tedious. It's like the fans at the game who cheer as if it might be a HR every time there's a flyball to the outfield. Well what do you want fans to say "Good job!"? Fans will always have knee jerk in game reactions no matter who is playing, its just the way people are with sports.
