Bautista tops AL in All-Star Game voting

 

Blue Jays outfielders Jose Bautista and Melky Cabrera maintained their leads for a starting position at the upcoming All-Star Game in Minnesota when the latest round of fan ballots were released Sunday night.

 

Bautista currently is the only player in the American League with at least two million votes. His total of 2,135,223 leads Angels outfielder Mike Trout for the top overall spot in the AL. Cabrera sits third among outfielders with 1,096,784.

Like fantasy leagues they probably determine eligibility based on how much they played any position the year before.

 

Though in some glaring and complete position changes (Eg. Joe Mauer) that wouldn't work would it...

They have Mauer listed as a 1B and not catcher so... I don't really understand how they do it. Edwin is our primary first baseman. That's how he should be listed. But he's not, just because MLB decided I guess, as noted above. Edited June 9, 2014 by G-Snarls

Well he should be listed as a 1B, and the only real competition would be Miggy, and they should be neck and neck. I just voted 50 times, with both emails. I'm considering creating fake accounts to bump up his totals, just broke my finger playing a ball tourney on the weekend and ill be off work for a while so I have a s*** ton of free time

Lol thats exactly what my fingernail looks like from a ground ball that kicked up at the last second. Mine was 3 weeks ago and my nail is finally starting to come off.

Mine was a one-hopper that took a wierd bounce at short, tried to play it fundamentally with two hands and it smoked my ring finger, I still made the throw to 2nd when i realized my nail had popped up and it was bleeding. Did you consider ripping off the nail?
