ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Reyes Throw hurts even more now..Pitching has been really bad the last 4-5 games now, another 6 runs against again tonight. The throw does hurt, but it's more about timing than anything else. There are plays that are not made that lead to a run earlier in games that don't get the same attention as an error or misplay in the 9th inning. They had 2 runners picked off 1B and they also misplayed a bunt to 3B. Like you said, the pitching has been bad, that's where it starts. Tonight, the offense just didn't get it done, but that's the poor pitching is more concerning.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I don't think you can complain about Delabar especially considering we got rid of Thames in the deal You're right. My point was more that AA didn't stop at getting Delabar and Lincoln, he kept going. I've said it before, it's a fetish. Also, given what it took to get Delabar, there's no way he should've had to give up 2 position players for Rogers, but let's not go there again. Let's hope he learned his lesson, but there are rumblings he's after middle relief help.

Yep, I see this team falling back to .500 sooner or later, pitching is just not there, prove me wrong Jays.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 If only pitchtracker could call the balls and strikes
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Looks like they'll get swept by the Royals.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Looks like they'll get swept by the Royals. It's the 2nd game of a 4 game series.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Looks like they'll get swept by the Royals. I don't think that's the issue as much as the upcoming teams being Tigers and Cards and this momentum carrying over... bleh.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yep, I see this team falling back to .500 sooner or later, pitching is just not there, prove me wrong Jays. Newsflash, Jays don't give a f*** about you.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 MLBtv died on all platforms here... sucks, but at least it's not in the middle of a good game
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Did EE really take that pitch? - that 2nd strike was in his wheelhouse :/
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 That pitch was in virtually the same spot, maybe even a little closer to the zone
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yep, I see this team falling back to .500 sooner or later, pitching is just not there, prove me wrong Jays. f*** off Metallijay, I hate you more than Reyes.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 The Jose at-bat should have been called a walk.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 This is getting interesting; but I ain't getting my hopes up

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 2 more walks and a GS to tie!!!
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Of course Navarro would swing at a guy who has walked 2 guys in a row.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 We better split. Stroman tomorrow and Buerhle Sunday. And to make matters worse, we have the Tigers and Cards after.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yankees down 6-1 in the bottom of the 9th. Deja vu.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 so what should he be looking for, soft tossing noodle arms? He shouldn't be looking for middle relievers to the point of overpaying like he did in the Rogers trade. He gave up Thames for a hard-thrower in Delabar. He gave up Snider for Lincoln. I don't get why he thought that after getting those 2 guys, he needed to give up 2 position players to get Rogers. I think he has a fetish for relief pitchers. Whether he targets hard-throwers or not is not as relevant.

Look at who we just swept and swept and swept. If we are playing like we can on O and D, and pitch ok we will be fine. OAK beat DET and we had some success against OAK didn't we? I don't understand the lack of confidence in this team. I think we need a SP arm still but this is a good team.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 The wave of panic is in sight. We need to win the next two.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 It's the 2nd game of a 4 game series. You will thank me later...I hope.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Newsflash, Jays don't give a f*** about you. Newsflash I don't give a f*** about you or what you say..Where is my post did I ever indicate the jays car about me retard?
