Baltimore will be at .500 if they lose. The way things are going, it's basically us vs. the Yankees in the AL East. None of Baltimore, Boston or Tampa have impressed. Even though Boston won 4 straight, Atlanta pissed away wins in all of the games on bad bullpen management and defensive miscues. Let's see what Boston does vs. Tampa.

 

BTW, with the Boston sweep, Atlanta is no longer in 1st in the NL East.. they're tied with Miami!

They f***ed up on fundamentals all game because they kept thinking they are invincible and anything they did, it was gonna go their way.

He just got super excited about Giambi's hit. I didn't mind it myself but a lot of people were upset because they felt it came off like cheering for the opponent. They started calling for his head at that point.

Don't remember what Jamie did but I remember Michael Kay getting excited when Giambi hit that walkoff HR.. it actually was used as a clip in MLB 10: The SHow (or was it 11?)

To be honest, the Royals outplayed us today, we deserved to lose. It would have been nice to steal one but what we do after this loss is what defines us as a team.

Just saw the highlight, wtf Reyes? Where did that throw come from. Damn, what a way to lose. Waste of another good effort by Edwin and a few others.

 

At least you know things are going well overall when you check the box score and you're genuinely shocked to see they've lost.

Was a zero difficulty play for Reyes which is why it's all on him. He had no reason to make that play the least bit challenging. That being said we've seen EE make harder catches at first. The ball just kicked out of his glove. He was obviously dissapointed. Janssen pretty clearly yells out "f***!" on the replay.

was EE's red/blue glove new yesterday? Like you said seen him make tougher snags at first, especially at home. Also had the popup bounce out of his glove in foul territory (even tho fan interference). Thought he had that brown one in the last game.

My seats are right behind first and I can safely say from my angle that EE makes that play at least 95% of the time. That said it's on Reyes as he put Edwin in that position. Very unfortunate, but every team will have a few tough losses over the course of the season.
