How much longer are we going to get these retarded umps?

We are fighting, practically, 2 teams at the same time.

Complaining about umps is what you do when you're losing, lol, why can nobody ever be satisfied?

Let's revisit some recent trades guys, feeling too good here!

I complain about umps when they're bad. Even when they're bad to our benefit (I'm just usually a bit less angry with my complaints...)

Replays are a good start, but if they can't get the strike zone 100%, then they should be replaced, since the technology exists to make them obsolete.

The game should be between 2 teams of 25, there shouldn't be 4 fat (usually) white guys getting their pudgy, cake-smeared fingers all over it.

Oh, and the "human element" that so many people always bring up, that's what the 25 guys are for (until THEY can be replaced by robots...)

Every MLB team has to be aware of framing at this point. Framing is a part of the game, just like baserunning or fielding is. You can't be mad about the other team consistently getting strike calls just as you can't complain about the other team being better at stealing bases or throwing out runners. Also, the Rays framing strategy nearly evens out to replacement level when you take into account Molina's hitting ability. Every time Molina gets out, you should think in your mind "that makes up for the last frame he made."

Until #roboumps, that is. But we're a ways away from that.

I didn't catch the whole game, but few innings I watched TB was getting squeezed pretty hard as well.

jays were equally as squeezed, that ump made some stupid calls

I don't know how you can complain about the umps. The rays pay Molina to steal calls, we pay navarro to give calls. We got lucky on a couple plays(the Bautista fingernail MAYBE touching home plate and the Lawrie play where he stepped off second with Sean Rod sliding in.)

Umpires are paid by the league to make correct calls. They fail that test egregiously, particularly when calling the strike zone.

Bautista absolutely touched home, but yes, Lawrie was not on second, that was a bad call in our favour.

An ump making a bad call is not "luck", it's someone not doing their job well. The technology exists to do a better job mechanically, so it should be implemented (and the replays are a step in the right direction, Maddon just derped hard on which challenge to make tonight...)
