GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Why dive when you're guaranteed $106 million over the life of your contract? -Jose Reyes
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I hope Anthopolous enjoys watches this pathetic bullpen he has assembled. Why is redmond/Rogers still on the roster?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Redmond hadn't pitched since May 10th, I can't say I blame him.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Why is redmond/Rogers still on the roster? Can justify keeping Redmond. Rogers is a complete blackhole.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Its actually quite understandable that they are falling apart here. They have had a long stretch without a day off... looks like that is what most of these guys are thinking about
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 f***in' Reyes made Lawrie drop that, ump with a pity out call.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 LAwrie doesn't look comfortable at second to me.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 So why didn't Gibbons bring in Loup or Cecil to face Moreland last inning? Yes, it's hindsight, but it just seems Gibbons always leaves Dickey in the game too long.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Dickey's looking more and more like a 6-inning pitcher and Gibbons needs to realize it.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Regardless of what happens, depending on the Yankees/Pirates game, we'll be 1.5 back (division) and 0.5 games out of the wild card, as Baltimore stunk it up vs. the Royals.

True, but you cannot keep losing games like today, they add up, Jays have given away several games this year, there record would be way better, and should be.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 We're a third of the way through the year and Dickey has basically been a hair above replacement-level. The team needs him contributing at a league average pace, at the very least. He's on pace for 3 wins, lol. Granted, his RA9 and xFIP are s***, but as of right now he's on a good pace.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 wheels fell off the apple cart. was bound to happen at some point. Two wins on dominating pitching in a row. we were due for a starter to s*** himself.

Offense and Defense was more an issue imo, Dickey was not bad today really, offense has been bad 5 games in a row now.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Yeah Take back the nice things I said about Francisco's defense earlier in this thread. He's got cement hands.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I won't blame Francisco for his s***** play today, he is what he is.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Offense and Defense was more an issue imo, Dickey was not bad today really, offense has been bad 5 games in a row now. and that's why I wrote that they won on dominating pitching. offense has been terrible... the end of this game has been a farce. cant even watch now... off day tomorrow so we wont lose.

The pitching carried them and today the defense joined the offense in laying an egg.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Tough schedule coming up, gonna have to get the offense going after today.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Lawrie could not get around on a 89 MPH fastball down the middle.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 FFS Lawrie. This guy just cannot get it going with the bat.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 At least Andrus dove, Rangers fans should be happy.
