In that situation, 0 out man 3/4 of the way to third, his job is to take a swing and miss strike and let the runner get to third.

No doubt, at the very least he's Rajai Davis 2.0 with far better defense. If he starts walking and limiting the strikeouts (even if it means weaker contact) he could also be a solid starter.

He has shown that he can walk before, though the strikeouts have always been a big concern. The speed and the defense are legit, so if he can't stick as a starter we'll gladly take him as 4th OF.

I'm pretty sure he's walked around 10% of the time in AA and AAA, but the K's are high, no doubt.

 

Having a platoon partner would help.
