kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Yeah Ken. No doubt when Morrow is healthy and everything is going right, he's a great pitcher and much better than MB. We saw what Morrow was capable of in 2010, 2011, and 2012. It's unfortunate that he hasn't been able to stay healthy and be durable throughout his career. I've always been a big Brandon Morrow fan - even bought his jersey back in 2010 haha seriously. Thing is the past two seasons, he hasn't stayed healthy and has been inconsistent on the mound. The results haven't been there and it seems like the Jays are always banking on his potential every ST to pitch like a No. 2 starter, which as we saw is a huge mistake. You can't rely on Morrow to pitch like a front of the rotation guy since he never can stay healthy. I hope that will change but history says NO. Frustrating when you see a guy with such huge talent unable to succeed due to injuries. When he did stay healthy his command improved and he almost had the no hitter. He needs to pitch to get that back. I
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 At least we can all finally agree that Casey Janssen is better at baseball than Sergio Santos!
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Anemic can you just go somewhere else please. I don't want to start a fight. I think they're talking about Obama in the off-topic forum I was actually agreeing with you... and then you start a "fight" with them anyway lol.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 His splits after 0-1 and 1-0 are pretty ridiculous. On topic of clutch. If there is anyone that is clutch it's this guy: http://www.fangraphs.com/statsplits.aspx?playerid=4314&position=1B&season=0 http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=3&season=2013&month=0&season1=2013&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=12,a How the heck could Votto have the 3rd worst Clutch rating for 2013?
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Doesn't matter who you agree with. You have dug yourself into an insurmountable hole with the race comments. You're already so detached from reality when it comes to baseball. Wouldn't expect any less from you and your followers when it comes to issues outside of baseball.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Clutch may exist but if it did it would be extremely difficult to separate from random variation. I'm hopping on the Janssen > Santos train because of Santos' control issues. He's a true-talent 4+ BB/9 guy, which puts a real strain on his outlook. The great control we saw from him in last year's limited sample isn't for real.
