jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Tigers also have a number of double-headers to come to make up for a ton of April rainouts.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I can't believe Delabar threw a fastball to Trout, didn't he watch Stroman get beat on one yesterday? Luckily, he didn't throw it over the middle of the plate. Delabar 6'4" Stroman 5'6"
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Tigers have basically already won the Central(they're 7-8 games up in the loss columns, with a number to make up due to rainouts).. nobody in that division is even close to the Tigers. And whether Oakland keeps up their success depends on health in their rotation, and the threesome of Gray, Kazmir and Chavez staying healthy and strong.. their #4 and #5 starters have been awful, with Milone, Straily, Pomeranz and Lindblom not exactly contributing. A's fans better hope the Angels don't start figuring it out.. Tigers are going to have a schedule with no off days to make up all the games. that takes it's toll as well. cant just assume they will win them all, but sure they are best in their division. once the angels get going then Oakland and LA can kick the s*** out of each other. that just helps other teams catch up. wild card spots definitely up for grabs.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Seattle already up 3-0 on the Rays. Just blow the darn thing up in Tampa already.. they're not going to contend, even in a weak AL East.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Hopefully his ERA regression happens after the team falls out of the race. That $19 million salary next year is pretty ugly. 230 innings of 3.4-4.5 ERA pitching on a team that has depth issues that are not getting fixed in the short term... the 19 million really isn't that bad.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Hr = w Cito ball has come back from the grave.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I don't have a problem paying him that, but it severely hinders his trade value. You could probably get a 15-20 ranked prospect from someone's system or something. that prospect would have to be MLB ready because we both know that the Jays farm system is the Bermuda Triangle where great prospects disappear and are never heard from again.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 More bad news for the sinking Yankees.. Beltran left tonight's game with a potential knee injury. Worse, they're losing to the Mets after the bullpen trifecta of Aceves/Thornton/Claiborne proceeded to hand over 5 runs to the Mets(including 2 HR by Chris Young and Eric Young.)
