kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Wow just got in and saw the box score . Jays needed a laugher but to get it against Cliff Lee. Huge lift to the team. Gives the Bull Pen a rest and they need it since McGowan and Happ are coming up after Dickey .
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I think they want him to play everyday. I'll be honest. It'd be awesome if he could play 2B lol He has a 181 wOBA vs lefties . If ever there was a platoon player Juan is it plus he is a below average fielder at 3rd and would be a disaster at 2nd, a position he has never played. Lawrie does not want to play second but if he can do it for awhile against Right handed pitching it would give us another big bat in the lineup.

Maybe his splits will improve with playing time. Anyway, I think that's the plan with him. I think at some point we'll have to go with a 7-man 'pen. having a guy like this off the bench as a PH would be stellar.

Be interesting what McGowan and Happless do this turn thru.

shortstop Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 nice to be on the other end of a blowout for a change. hopefully the momentum continues and jays have a great month of May setting them up for a competitive summer.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Be nice for them to go on a streak to make up for numerous blown games they should have won earlier in the season.

Sorrow Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 After watching Navarro move last night they need to DL him and run with Kratz/Thole, Gets/Tolleson, Gose/Mastro/Pillar and Francisco as the bench for a while.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
