jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 People, we're at .500! It's early in the season, and we're headed into a light part of the schedule. I mean, Baltimore has been hot since that Yankees series a few weeks ago.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 but..................great actors http://static2.businessinsider.com/image/51a63ee26bb3f7bd15000003/lebron-james-flop-knicks-2012.gif Quick, post a gif of Mark Texeria's phantom groin injury in the home opener from this year. Guy barely moves and has to take 15 days off. Baseball players are barely above soccer players in terms of softness.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I'm guessing you're one of these people: "OK, so now that the lottery order is set, let's take a look at what outcomes are most assuredly rigged. Milwaukee Bucks: "New ownership? How's about a welcoming present for you fine folks… try harder, Silver. You're worse than the last guy.." Philadelphia 76ers: "Wow, saw this one coming from a mile away. 'Oh hey Philly, we're really sorry about Bynum…have the first pick..on us' Big market coming off a horrendous season; this rig job stands out like ants on a ski slope" Orlando Magic: "We've seen this narrative before. Shaq, Dwight, and now... welcome to Orlando, Mr. Embiid. The Lakers will desperately need your services a few years down the road…I mean seriously? This is way too predictable" Utah Jazz: "Reverse psychology done by our new commissioner Silver. Good try, but it won't work on us! You chose the least conspicuous team to give the first pick to, just so you could try and throw us off your tail. Nice try, rookie" Celtics/Lakers: "This is by far the most atrocious rigging I've ever seen. Yeah, let's just give the number one pick in one of the most loaded drafts in recent memory to…the most storied f***ing franchises in the game. I'm done with the NBA…this is some next level ********" Sacramento Kings: "Hey Seattle, f*** you, you're never getting a team. This will keep you fellas happy in Sacramento; any rumors or even thoughts of moving the team are officially dead. f*** you Silver, this is just a giant middle finger to the entire state of Washington" Detroit Pistons: "So I guess the NBA feels bad that the Pistons haven't had the number one pick since 1970? This is just an apology to Detroit for not having rigged the lottery in their favor since the Walter Kennedy days. With a new era comes new retributions…you're really gonna be this transparent Silver?" Cleveland Cavaliers: "OOOOOOOOOOKAY…How many number one picks do they really need?? We know LeBron left, but just give it a rest for Christ's sake!" New Orleans Pelicans: "We all know David Stern can't get enough of his team… A gift certificate to Red Lobster would have sufficed for a parting gift, Silvey…." Denver Nuggets: "Hey, remember when Denver was a legit contender when Gallinari wasn't injured? Well I do. Silver just gifted these stoners Andrew Wiggins to complete their team..f***ing perfect. Job well done, guy" Minnesota Timberwolves: "Goodbye Kevin Love, hello Joel Embiid. This is just way too obvious for the team that had a 0.6% chance of the #1 overall…" Phoenix Suns: "Wow, did they seriously just give a young, fringe playoff team a new superstar to put them over the top? Are you f***ing kidding me?? 0.5% chance my ASS" TL;DR: This s*** is f***ing rigged. f*** the NBA, I can't stand this ******** organization run by a bunch of slimy criminals" No way. Vucevic is a great #5. Jabari or Wiggins.............................. or Randle?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 Quick, post a gif of Mark Texeria's phantom groin injury in the home opener from this year. Guy barely moves and has to take 15 days off. Baseball players are barely above soccer players in terms of softness. Sad but true. They need to penalize diving more, straight reds and suspension without pay for diving.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I'm talking about soccer lol even worse, a lot of running, racism and no pay off
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 And how much coverage of the Heat do we see on ESPN? That's all they seem to talk about. It's like they want LeBron to get a 3rd ring.
HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 It is ridiculous. It takes a lot more athletic ability to be a professional wrestler. It takes more athletic ability to be a great trapeze balancer. Why not watch the circus all day? Sport is not defined by how grueling the sport is, we are all fans of baseball after all.
HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 good luck waking up early on a sat morning to watch a 1-0 game lol typical American viewpoint!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 even worse, a lot of running, racism and no pay off Not in every country? You can't use the fact that soccer is worldwide as a negative lol Also lol @ lots of running, are we changing the definition of sports and athletes now?

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 even worse, a lot of running, racism and no pay off World class football is an absolute treat to watch. Watching a team like Bayern control the ball is simply magical. I get it why you might think regular league games could be a little dry.... but Champions League, Euro's, WC, etc. are all amazing competitions.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Not in every country? You can't use the fact that soccer is worldwide as a negative lol Also lol @ lots of running, are we changing the definition of sports and athletes now? for one goal? not worth watching. 4 or 5 goals sure but 1 or 2, boooooooooooooooo!

Sport is not defined by how grueling the sport is, we are all fans of baseball after all. Well, as a fan of both WWE and NBA, I can say that the former is less predictable, despite being scripted. Very sad. With that being said, baseball is miles ahead of both for me.
HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 grizzlies about to take a 2-1 series lead on okc. Yes....fixed. Clown. lololol you really spoke too soon! <3
The_DH Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 soccer fans are the worst, obnoxious and fans of mediocre products Soccer is full of diving kiddie chasing Euros. If I had to watch another player crying on the ground I'd go nuts.
Holden Caulfield Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Soccer is a communist sport.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 World class football is an absolute treat to watch. Watching a team like Bayern control the ball is simply magical. I get it why you might think regular league games could be a little dry.... but Champions League, Euro's, WC, etc. are all amazing competitions. The Premier League and the La Liga are also exceptions to the rule. The last few weeks, you have 3 teams competing for #1 and the bottom 5 teams taking wins off the top 4 teams. It's like the Astros sweeping/taking 2 of 3 from Detroit/Oakland/Texas to end off their season. In soccer they don't reward you for being last unlike in Baseball, they have something to fight for (preventing relegation)
HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 for one goal? not worth watching. 4 or 5 goals sure but 1 or 2, boooooooooooooooo! That's like a little kid saying "I don't wanna watch that movie, it only has one explosion!". There are exciting and watchable things in sport other than the amount of goals. Plus each goal is 100000X more exciting in footy.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 for one goal? not worth watching. 4 or 5 goals sure but 1 or 2, boooooooooooooooo! lol yeah no I'm a fan of an overall sport, (Defense, playmaking and goal scoring) more than the overall result

HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 KD's going to work some magic with 2 seconds left. We could be watching the greatest finish to a playoff game in the last 5 years. We all know what KD is capable of here.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Should've taken the extra dribble. Didn't like the play though.
