Convo Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Who was it that said all the pitchers are cheating and using pine tar? In any case, how can anyone be so dumb... with HD, slo-mo, etc. we can see everything.

JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 These guys legitimately think that a) we're stealing signs that stealing signs is somehow against the rules and c) that just knowing what pitch has been called means you automatically can hit it. Exactly! They don't seem to realize MLB hitters tend to know what pitch is coming, in what count, where it might be and still miss. You kind of figure it out. 0-2 and the pitcher has a nasty curve you bet you might see it low in the zone and probably will drop out to get you to swing and miss. Anything is better than saying "I guess our pitchers just suck against the Jays and in the RC."
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Why the f*** does McGowan keep shaking off the signs? Holy f***.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I'll just leave this here Let me preface this with: I like Chris Tillman. I think he's a good pitcher. But really, other teams (not every team, but a good number) have either developed or signed aces. The Marlins have Jose Fernandez, other teams have...guys. Why is our "ace" a career 4.15 ERA pitcher who got his only all-star appearance on the strength of his win total? Even if he repeats last year's numbers this season, he's just not a number one starter. The response I hope you are serious about the end of the whining. a 4.15 ERA ALL coming in the AL East I reckon would be about a 2.98 in just about any National League division. Does Verlander never get lit up? Cliff Lee? Halladay in his prime? It's one game man! Small comparisons, can't hurt.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I don't like the way Mcgowan is pitching, this lead is not safe
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Wow @ Pinada... what kind of suspension? 1 start i guess
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Who was it that said all the pitchers are cheating and using pine tar? . Zaun Hayhurst
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Quit throwing fastballs down the middle
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Why the f*** does McGowan keep shaking off the signs? Holy f***. Yeah he's like the only starter not just going with Navarro 90% of the time
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Quit throwing fastballs down the middle Esp to this guy
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I don't like the way Mcgowan is pitching, this lead is not safe Agreed! This lead is far from safe!
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'm glad someone's actually getting called on this when it's this obvious... Lester's "glowing arm" from last year should have had him ejected too...
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 So he gives up 2 in the first then comes out the next inning with pine tar.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I don't like the way Mcgowan is pitching, this lead is not safe This is bang on. If he gets through the 5th inning ill be surprised... actually ill probably be disappointed because it will mean that the O's have 6+ runs and Gibbons left him in too long
Convo Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Why not just put the pine tar in your hair, just below the back of your hat... nobody would see it and you could nab some when you go to adjust your hat.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 has Pineda been busted for pine tar before?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Yeah he's like the only starter not just going with Navarro 90% of the time Seriously..
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 Pat Tabler in Minnesota on a cold night "Morrow should have a pinetar rag In his back pocket" Yup and when Buck asked him, "Ain't that cheating?" Tabby laughed and said, "So?" What a hypocrite lol
jerb Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 He's given up two home runs tonight after shaking off a sign from Navarro. He should be more like Mark Buehrle and not shake off any signs. Navarro seems to have a better idea of what pitch to throw than McGowan.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Colby is really frustrating to watch so far this season
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
