Jays: McGowan threw a strong 6 1-3 innings against Tillman and the Orioles (9-10) to record his first win since June 22, 2008, and improve to 1-3 with a 5.29 ERA in seven starts versus Baltimore. He gave up three runs, six hits and four walks on 85 pitches over four innings while not factoring in the decision of a 9-5 loss at Minnesota in the nightcap of a doubleheader Thursday. Edwin Encarnacion smashed his first home run of the season in the sixth inning against Baltimore on Tuesday. The three-run shot to center field tied the game at 3-3 and snapped a 25-game home run drought. Melky is batting .347 (17/49) with five homers and eight RBIs during an 11-game home hitting streak dating to last season, when he missed the final two months with a knee injury. And with a single and two walks Tuesday, Jose Bautista has reached base safely in all 20 games this season. The Blue Jays have a 6-5 record against American League East teams this year. They haven't posted a winning record against the division since 2010, when they were 39-33. Orioles: Tillman yielded three runs, seven hits and walked four while throwing 122 pitches in five innings of an 8-4 victory at Boston on Friday. Orioles catcher Matt Wieters was not in Tuesday's starting lineup as he's dealing with right forearm soreness. He had a scheduled off-day on Monday afternoon, and Showalter said he wanted to err on the cautious side in giving Wieters one more day. Orioles infielder Steve Lombardozzi had his seventh multi-hit game of the season on Tuesday, tying him for first on the team in that category. Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I just saw Buck's dumb without reading the question and selected it knowing it was the right answer. When in doubt always go with Buck's Dumb

theblujay Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Please destroy Tillman, time to bring this guy back down to Earth. Shut up those cocky Os fans that were claiming he's going to have a CY Young season
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 The Orioles are my 2nd least favorite team only behind Boston. I hope we bloop and luck our way to victory just to relish the butthurt tears of Os fans
GoldBull Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Don't have a good feeling about this one. I'm probably in the minority, but I haven't liked what I've seen from McGowan this year.

There's not real reason to ever feel confident about a guy who barely ever pitches but let's cross our fingers that this is his year (finally).

BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Tillman really has become their ace...then again he has given up 10 dingers in just 36 career innings in this park.
HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I don't ever remember Tillman pitching here. I always see him in Camden against us. Hopefully he pulls a Hammels and gets really butthurt by our offense.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Is the bullpen really that overworked? What are we compared to other teams 6-7 innings more! We have three friggin long men to abuse too that where in the running to be starters at one point! Are they not good for 100-120 innings or more? Or is it more a question of how we have used them so far ? Go Jays Go ! Bring it Dusty!
