Jays:


  • Dickey has given up at least five runs in all three losses. He needed 112 pitches to get through a season-worst 4.1 innings in a 7-0 defeat at Minnesota on Thursday with all five runs charged against him coming in the fifth. The right-hander also issued five walks and is averaging 5.9 per nine innings after entering the season with a 2.8 career rate. Dickey was 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in three starts against them last season. He surrendered five homers and 10 walks in 18.2 innings.
  • Jose Reyes was 2 for 5 in his second game since returning from a strained left hamstring suffered in the season opener, and his double was his first XBH since returning from the DL. Jose Bautista has reached base in all 19 games this season, while Melky Cabrera has recorded at least one hit in all but one contest with a .563 slugging percentage.
  • Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera went 2-for-4 against the Tribe on Sunday, and he finished the game leading the American League with 30 hits.

 

Orioles:

  • Gonzalez yielded three hits over five innings in a 3-0 win over Tampa Bay on Wednesday after allowing 10 runs in his first two outings. The right-hander is 4-2 with a 3.02 ERA in seven starts versus Toronto.
  • After leading the majors with 212 home runs last season, the Orioles are homerless in five of their last six games but are batting .290 during that stretch. Their 10 home runs this season are the second-fewest in baseball.
  • Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy, who missed Monday's finale vs. the Red Sox because of a right hamstring strain, is day to day.

So Navarro's getting 2 days off. I expected him to DH today, but who knows, Gibbons may have Dickey on a short leash tonight and wants to have the option of bringing Navarro into the game for Thole.

It's called PVR, you record both and watch one now and one later.

 

Why would I want to record Dickey getting hammered and then watch it later?

He may not get hammered, or maybe he will and we still win. Only way to know is to record everything.

Little league is a ton of fun.

 

But playoff basketball >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[...]>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> that. I don't know how one can view basketball as boring for the most part. Certain aspects like fouling, sure, but it's a very exciting game with constant action. How one can enjoy baseball while thinking basketball is /boring/, I just don't get lol.

Hyperbole obviously, but I don't find basketball enjoyable.

i'm not saying he won't turn it around, He's walking at a great clip. I'm saying 2013 Chris Davis is a outlier
