GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Wow, Ehlers went earlier than I thought he would. But, also where I think he should have. Did you guys PM Cats Ass?
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I would have taken Dal Colle over Nylander, but every other pick has been on point IMO.
Frag Verified Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Oh f*** yeah. Bill Ny is going to lead both of us to the promised land. Come at me bros...jaysfever pm'd. Bill Ny the Scoring Guy is best nickname.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I had Mantha #2. After Tyler Biggs of course?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 After Tyler Biggs of course? Tyler Biggs transcends your puny rankings, peasant.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Tyler Biggs transcends your puny rankings, peasant. Okay bro
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 That joke is meant for people over 16. People under 15 worship Bill Ny as well. Although my 50+ year old mother doesn't know who he is. Go figure.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Cats Ass clock expires tomorrow at 8:43 AM, I believe. Vanland Spittin Up following Cats Ass. Commish has a 300 hr window.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Cats Ass clock expires tomorrow at 8:43 AM, I believe? Time zones are screwing me up. Vanland Spittin Up following Cats Ass. We'll have to confer with board timezone expert Northof49.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 ^ Great work on the draft doc btw. Kudos
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I had Mantha #2. Yeah, I was split down the middle between taking Mantha or Reinhart at #2, so when BTS offered me the decent later pick upgrade there was nothing to lose. He got the guy he wanted, and I'm very happy with Mantha.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I would have taken Dal Colle over Nylander, but every other pick has been on point IMO. I was debating between Dal Colle and Draisaiti at my spot.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 I picked. And PMd/emailed Vanland.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Maybe I'll pick today?!?! probably not lol
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Maybe I'll pick today?!?! probably not lol Almost all the guys I wanted to take have played between 1-5 games in the NHL already.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 It will make the NHL draft that much more exciting. Yeah, from what I've noticed in the baseball keeper leagues, the initial prospect draft has lots of interesting guys available, so having the no games restriction makes sense. In subsequent ones the drafts seem to be much weaker, so allowing for guys who have played games but not met the threshold might make sense.

There are plenty of guys available in this (baseball) draft imo

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Keep in mind we only drafted 1/2 the prospect roster so far. I have a database of about 200 prospects. If I did more draft research, which wouldn't be difficult, I could have 240 easily, which is 12 prospects * 20 teams. If you just take note every time you see an interesting prospect on fangraphs (prospect watch, fringe five) and do some draft research you can get a ton of guys.

Seeing someone's sleeper guy listed on a website and the guy actually making it to the majors (let alone being fantasy relevant) if a big difference. It's not hard to fill out a farm, but the chances of those guys succeeding (especially once another 120 are knocked off the board) are very slim outside of a few from the most recent draft.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 11 picks in 30 hours. At this rate the draft will take about 23 days.
aselvana Verified Member Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 No idea who Aselvana even is lol... sorry guys, i might take the full 12 hours. semi-annuals at work. once again im sorry
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 11 picks in 30 hours. At this rate the draft will take about 23 days. That's alright. Is anyone in a hurry? I'll probably even go over my time window. NHL prospects are crap shoots anyway.

Again, I'm leaving on Saturday. But the way the draft is shaping up, Dinger will be able to take my BPA no worries. Although I'd think we'll get through 18 at least i not 23. So not a big deal at all.
