Jays: Drew Hutchison was tagged for six runs and six hits with three walks, while hitting a batter in 3 1-3 innings of a 6-4 home loss to the New York Yankees on Sunday. That came five days after he yielded three hits with three walks in 5 1-3 scoreless innings of a 4-2 win at Tampa Bay, his first outing since undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2012. In two starts against Baltimore, he went 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA. He's facing them for the first time since a 6-2 win May 28, 2012, allowing three hits with nine strikeouts in seven scoreless innings. The Blue Jays are batting only .212 in the season's early stages and thier on-base percentage isn't much better at .284. Melky, however, is hitting .327 while tying Jose Bautista with a team-high four homers. The left fielder has also hit safely in all 11 games for the longest season-opening hitting streak of his career. Extending the run Saturday would make Cabrera the first member of the Blue Jays to go 12 straight games with at least one hit to start a season since Vernon Wells in 2006. Jose Reyes appears to be moving closer to a rehab assignment and a return to the Blue Jays' lineup. He did some running before Friday's series opener against the Orioles and fared well. He and manager John Gibbons both said if all goes well after Reyes pushes things while running the bases Saturday, that they'll start planning details for a rehab assignment, which would eventually lead to his return. Orioles: Bud Norris wasn't sharp in his season debut last Saturday at Detroit, allowing five runs and nine hits in five innings of a 7-6 loss. Making his second start at home may not help since Norris is 2-1 with a 7.30 ERA in five starts at Baltimore. The Orioles are looking to bounce back from their worst offensive display of the season, totaling five hits while being shut out for the first time Friday. They racked up 32 hits with four homers, six doubles and 19 runs while winning the previous two games. Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy is expected to return after missing five games with back spasms.Baltimore hopes to have shortstop J.J. Hardy back after he missed four straight and five of six with back spasms. He's 5 for 15 in four games played. Standings: http://i.imgur.com/SxiNQLT.png Venue: http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Diag/CamdenYards.gif I hope you guys enjoy the GDT! eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Good job Fatcox. O's line from 5-9 is pretty soft.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Nice GDT. Hopefully Hutch bounces back tonight. Would be real nice to take the first 2 games of this series.

Would be real nice to take the first 2 games of this series. Thank you guys! Hopefully I can participate in tonight's GDT unlike last night's one. Also thanks to whoever pointed out a problem with the notes in the last GDT, it's solved now
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Nice job as always, Fatcow. What happened to Charlie's streams, by the way?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 Nice job as always, Fatcow. What happened to Charlie's streams, by the way? Thanks! He's not always a guarantee for Jays games I don't think. I have to check at first pitch to see if he's streaming or not
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Great job with the GDT as always fatcow, Jays are due for an offensive explosion, hope tonight is the night!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Prediction: Lawrie and Edwin have breakout games. Also, Hutchison pitches a gem.
magits Verified Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Jays have a good chance to win this one. Norris is horrible against lefties.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Jays have a good chance to win this one. Norris is horrible against lefties. Let's hope! I have a good feeling about Rasmus today.

MEh, the jays have a tendency to lose these types of games, like the last one against Houston. BAd pitchers seem to shut this O down. Would be a good win thoguh take the first 2 on the road against the O's.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 EE hasn't gone deep yet and he's usually good for one at Camden Yards each road trip. I think he gets one tonight.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Should be an interesting game. Norris' weaknesses are too many walks and prone to the long ball. Jays are not patient and Camden is suppressing HR's right now. I really think it's got to be the middle of the order (or Rasmus) doing damage to him or it'll be lower scoring.
Flamingweazel Verified Member Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Sportsnet analysis is geared towards idiots. Newsflash, jays win when they pitch well, lose when they give up a lot of run IMAGINE that,
