Jays Verified Member Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 A for T., a right-handed batter who can play both the infield and the outfield could steal some starts from Goins and Lind against LHP and be a perfect fit for this team, perfect that is if he could hit but it doesn't sound like he has the kind of strong platton split you'd want from the role (then again Sierra doesn't have a platoon split either and he's slated to be the main RH option). Different s*** to throw against the wall I guess. If you're going to have a short bench than defensive versatiliy would help. Sounds like Bonifacio to me.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Sounds like Bonifacio to me. It's interesting that Gibbons has started hedging about Goins starting just as the Jays have acquired this guy. Goins does have options. Do the Jays think this guy could start at 2B? Is that the job that he's here to try to earn? It's a bit of last minute Hail Mary if that's the case.
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I don't think he's a real 2b kind of guy and we need either Izturis or Kawasaki to cover ss so his only competition is the of spot.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Of course there are teams interested in Perez. The stuff is electric. If he can ever find the control he can be a shut down reliever.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Yeah, I'd agree that he asked for a release.
tercet Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Bahahahahahahhahaha And y'all said I was an idiot when I said Perez is overrated few years back, and how his performance wasnt sustainable.. This move clinches another victory!
tercet Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Your autism is showing again. Ah shocker you respond within few minutes of my post, but will u deny this too? lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 There's nothing interesting about this guy except his last name 'Tuiasosopo'. It will be fun to see Buck Martinez attempt to say his name lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 IIRC Buck's prononciation is Too-ee-ass-oh-so-poo BAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oh man, poor kid, his name got so butchered lmao
