ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 at what point do the blue jays stop wasting money sending scouts to see players they never intend on paying for? At the point when the owner says so. And this point will be when they don't make money and/or they're getting tons of bad PR. Basically, that's how it is.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Apparently, the Yankees think Diaz at SS or 2B is a nightmare, as they will not be offering him a contract. Here's an article about Diaz from the Cardinals blog on SB Nation, which is equally as skeptical about him: http://www.vivaelbirdos.com/2014/2/23/5437476/should-we-think-twice-about-aledmys-diaz

Ehjays Verified Member Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 We had to know the Jays wouldn't sign him
Brenner Verified Member Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Upside seems to be back up SS/2b. Jays already have enough people in play for that spot.

In all honesty, if the Cards see something in him than I'm pretty much convinced the Jays should have signed him. The Cards just seem to recognize something in unsexy talent that other team's don't.

If it was the dodgers or anyone else, I wouldn't have cared as much.

The sports gut has no credibility. he'd have a hard time answering "what time is it" AA:well, we've been looking at it and we're feeling really good about where we are. the minute hand is standing out at this point, because he ended up on top last year, but we will know more by opening day.
