It took me many hours to understand wtf a Asian Handicap is. Basically if Ajax had tied I would have won half the bet but since they won 1 to 0 I won the whole thing

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Happy Champions league everyone. Barcelona is the winner today
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Only 20 minutes in but Barcelona vs Liverpool has been the game of the season so far. Amazing quality on show, Salah, Van Dijk, Alba, Busquets and Messi have all been immense.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Considering Liverpool's (on paper) conservative formation I can't believe how open the game is!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Messi is a god. That is all. Has he won a World Cup yet?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 If anyone wants to know the winner today just ask

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 If you predicted that you're Nostradamus Cannot believe what I've just seen. Liverpool have had an amazing season.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I do feel like Ajax would have had an easier time with Barcelona but still Ajax is the best team in the world and will win the Champions League title. Ajax has star passers all over the field (Look at progressive passes per 90) and Liverpool is really going to struggle to mark Ajax's attack effectively. Sorry for spoiling the Champions League but Ajax is teh team.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Cristiano Ronaldo is the GOAT. Messi can bow down to him.
EnglishJay Verified Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Wow. Just Wow! Two of the best games you will ever see in the space of two nights. The Champions League has been absolutely brilliant this season
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Wow. Just Wow! Two of the best games you will ever see in the space of two nights. The Champions League has been absolutely brilliant this season Unbelievable results. Both Liverpool and Spurs were completely outclassed in the 1st legs, and Spurs were again by far 2nd best in the 1st half tonight. The final is going to be great.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Imagine if Liverpool win nothing this year, despite having one of their best seasons ever (record points total in the league & knocking out the favourites on route to a second CL final in a row).
EnglishJay Verified Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 It could happen. I certainly don't expect Brighton to have enough to hold City at the weekend. Now we just need Arsenal and Chelsea to negotiate their way through tonights games, and both major European trophies will be safely back in England 🙂

Now we just need Arsenal and Chelsea to negotiate their way through tonights games, and both major European trophies will be safely back in England I really dislike Arsenal and one of my friends is a deluded Arsenal fan who never accepts their weaknesses - but even then it'd be pretty cool to see a monopoly of English teams in the European finals!

First time since 1990/1 that any natiion has had four teams in European finals. First time any nation has had all the teams in the european finals.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 January 3rd was such a great day! Enjoy your 1 loss 2nd place. Now Go Tottenham
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Looking to get back on the winning streak after that crushing Ajax defeat and Aston Villa over WBA looks like just the game to do it.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Looks like Barcelona have reacted to their CL exit by sacking the manager (not yet confirmed), and signing De Jong (confirmed), De Jong (rumours it's already agreed), and Griezmann (confirmed leaving Atletico). They are going to be so good next year!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Eintracht Frankfurt Manager:Adolf Hütter ^ I had to take a double take looking at the match centre on that one.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Man City are going to win the first ever domestic treble - a clean sweep of the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
