jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Old Blue Jay and Ray Ryan Roberts has been DFAd. Boy, does Boston ever miss Middlebrooks..
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Inside the Trop right now and they have Bedard jersey t-shirts. Going to buy one for Gibbers since he loves Canadian players.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Billy Hamilton was the most overrated player coming into this season and as a prospect.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Billy Hamilton's swing in that GIF is the kind that gets someone demoted to AAA.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Huh? If this is about your fantasy team, literally no one gives a f***. That hurt my feelings.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Billy Hamilton was the most overrated player coming into this season and as a prospect. One tool player?

Eragon Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Billy Hamilton was the most overrated player coming into this season and as a prospect. Wow... he had 13 SB with only 7 H and 2 BB last season...
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Billy Hamilton's swing in that GIF is the kind that gets someone demoted to AAA. Probably more like A lol. That is as ugly as swing as you can get.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 A's extend Doolittle for 5 years and two more option years. Now they can use him in ninth without worrying about saves inflating his arb. I would assume they'll get Johnson back in that role first as soon as possible so they can extract something for him at the deadline.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 It'll be interesting to see what the contract details are, are that should really give an idea as to where the A's feel salary inflation is headed. I do find it rather amusing that people here tend to think that players shouldn't be locked up so early, yet so many organizations including the A's are doing it after one or two years - the A's on a reliever no less.

Yeah. I really think we should extend have already extended Lawrie. I don't think the $ required now would be insane, but they might be in 2 years if he improves his hitting stats.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I hate the idea of locking up a pitcher before you have to. Pitchers and position players probably should be handled differently.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 The Brewers have signed reliever Jeremy Jeffress to a minor league deal, the club announced. Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reported earlier (on Twitter) that it appeared a deal was in the works.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Billy Hamilton was the most overrated player coming into this season and as a prospect. If I were AA, I'd trade for him so Seitzer can turn him into a .300 hitter....do it AA!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I'd probably trade someone like Delabar for him. Hamilton should be a great asset of the bench if used properly. I'd do Delabar because I think someone else would give us something more valuable for Hamilton. However, I think I'd actually prefer Gose to Hamilton on our squad. Maybe a little less speed, but elite D.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I'd probably trade someone like Delabar for him. Hamilton should be a great asset of the bench if used properly. Reds probably still over value him though. Pretty much guaranteed they do and would want more.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Reds probably still over value him though. Pretty much guaranteed they do and would want more. Especially from AA given how much he's been giving up in trades recently.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Gose in CF and Hamilton in LF for 2015....track team V2 baby! Team full of Jackrabbits!!!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 What would Pirates have given us for Lind??
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 What would Pirates have given us for Lind?? Depends on the prospects going back to the Mets. If it's 2 good prospects then we probably had a shot at a starter or a really, really good prospect
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 One tool player? Other than his 80 speed, I can't see anything else about his skill set that intrigues me.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Gose in CF and Hamilton in LF for 2015....track team V2 baby! If we had an outfield with those two, we could bring Bautista in to the infield and run with a 5 man infield.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Bedard just gave up a 3-run double to Scott Sizemore. Guess the Yankees automatically win.. because the Rays offense is just pathetic.
