fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Gonna come out and say it. I've been a bit of a Miami fan since they made that trade with us and some of their other moves. Welcome to the club!! I made a long ass post a couple of months into last season basically stating why I love the Marlins. Just need to fire Loria for good PR and they'll be good
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 So McClendon has decided to use Wilhelmsen instead of Farquhar in high-leverage situations and it just cost him a lead. Awful decision. A four year old could have managed that situation better. What an idiot.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Joined the club when I was around 15 when they won their first world series. Not impressed with ownership now pretty hard to get behind a team who constantly trades away their talent with no interest in winning. Definitely a pitching factory now but have also produced some of the games best hitters. Could you imagine what could have been. P. S. Not sure if you were serious or not but they can't fire the owner. The still can develop more big bats.... Stanton + Yelich + Marisnick/Ozuna is sexy. Dietrich might hit a lot of bombs from 2B, Hech is a sure thing to provide GG defence at short... and had they not traded Matt Dominguez they would have had a young solid infield. Oh yeah lol I mean can't the MLB force him to sell or something?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'm not getting this ump lol . Both teams pissed
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 and were going to 12! come on mariners!

I feel like I am a kid watching babies fighting over a chocolate bar in the schoolyard. We can work this out and be a happy family again. Please don't break this little kids heart . G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 @Buster_ESPN now The Indians announce they have signed Jason Kipnis to a six-year deal. Guaranteed $52.5 million. Indians Extend Jason Kipnis By Steve Adams [April 4, 2014 at 7:27am CST] The Indians announced that they have extended second baseman Jason Kipnis to a six-year deal that runs through the 2019 season and contains a club option for the 2020 campaign. Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports (via Twitter) that Kipnis is guaranteed $52.5MM over the life of the deal. According to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian (on Twitter), the Beverly Hills Sports Council client receives a $1MM signing bonus and annual salaries of $2MM (2014), $4MM (2015), $6MM (2016), $9MM (2017), $13.5MM (2018) and $14.5MM (2019). The option, according to Bastain, is worth $16.5MM and contains a $2.5MM buyout. Kipnis entered the 2014 season with two years, 69 days of service time, meaning he would have been under team control through 2017 without an extension. The new contract buys his final pre-arbitration season, all three arbitration years and a pair of free agent campaigns with an option for a third. His contract is worth $500K more than fellow breakout, All-Star infielder Matt Carpenter, who inked a six-year, $52MM contract with the Cardinals in Spring Training (Carpenter had two years, 12 days of service at the time of his deal).
