What's wrong with using staff ace, it's been used for decades mate? I mean, I think most knowledgeable ball fans know there's just over a handful of elite Aces in the MLB, or atleast I hope so, lol

 

I'm too lazy and don't like referring to a mediocre pitcher on teams as an ace. It muddies the term.

May have just missed this in the thread but it was brought up on PTS today.

 

AA was "trying to get in on the conversation " for Fister but Dombrowski told him "we're looking for something specific and you don't have it"

 

So much like 15-20 other GM's, AA just wasn't given a chance to even try and work out a trade. Sucks.
