GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I kind of wish Farrell would have a brain cramp and suddenly decide to play Ortiz in CF to make room in the lineup and see how hilarious that would be.

It's an interesting problem for Farrell to have. How much do you weaken the defense to boost the offense? If we had made the WS this year, would we be seeing EE at 3rd and Lawrie at 2nd in this situation?

Encarnacion can actually be in the field, Ortiz really shouldn't be unless absolutely necessary.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 I think playing Ortiz at first is the right thing to do Wilner (Ug) said it well the other day - "You can't lose the World Series with David Ortiz sitting on the bench" I agree. He's your age-defying playoff hitting legend. And it's first base. And he's not exactly replacing a gold glover. A tougher decision would be playing Napoli at third. THAT could have consequences but he's apparently thinking about it
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 I like Bush Stadium. Great atmosphere.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Why the F is A J Pierzinsky doing on the air Brutal
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Farrell looks like Andre The Giant next to Ken Rosenthal
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Soo... Am I the only loser sitting home by myself to watch this tonight???
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Soo... Am I the only loser sitting home by myself to watch this tonight??? Yes, considering this loser is watching the Leafs tonight.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Cards fans are so much classier than Jays fans. Toronto fans would be boo'ing the other team so hard during introductions. lol.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 Great play by Kelly
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 What a stat. First 2 games Pedroia and Ortiz are hitting .538. Rest of the team a combined .098 Wow
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 What a stat. First 2 games Pedroia and Ortiz are hitting .538. Rest of the team a combined .098 Wow Holy crap, Peavy is getting BABIP'd to death this postseason. Joe Buck lives for tiny samples.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Oh, that's why LHB Nava is playing against a RH starter? Because the outfield is bigger? Thanks Tim. Your analysis is timeless. I wonder what the World Series would be like without these two dipshits. Will be awhile before we find out.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 It's slightly refreshing seeing Zaun blasting other teams players instead of ours. LOL
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 It's slightly refreshing seeing Zaun blasting other teams players instead of ours. LOL He was absolutely right too, especially in the playoffs.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Was he blasting Beltran? I'm watching MLB.tv, not SN.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 Was he blasting Beltran? I'm watching MLB.tv, not SN. Holliday

RickyWalks Verified Member Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 It's like watching the Jays. Bases loaded, no outs, no runs.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 Wow s*** play by Beltran Double becomes 3 bases
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 It's like watching the Jays. Bases loaded, no outs, no runs. Then add bad outfield defense too!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 I'm feeling like the Cardinals need to score a few more runs and soon
RickyWalks Verified Member Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Can we get robot Umpires already? This is retarded.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
